It’s funny how those in the “media” like to speculate on what Florida “needs” to do.
Florida doesn’t “need” to do anything. And they don’t owe anybody (including fans or recruits) anything.
At no point this season has Stricklin or anybody in the UAA said Napier’s job is in jeopardy. Not once. Not a hint. Not a sound. NOTHING.
The entire fantasy about Napier being fired is driven by those like Fever (no offense) who buy hook, line, and sinker into what “insiders” sensationally claim “big boosters” are doing and then act surprised or shocked when nothing happens.
There has been no indication whatsoever that Napier’s job is at risk. Could it be? Perhaps. But at this point, assuming that it is is reckless, foolish, and contrary to reality.
Now, with all the speculation,
should Florida clarify his status with recruits? Perhaps. But that isn’t the way Stricklin does things. He has demonstrated that over his tenure. He certainly isn’t going to change now to appease the masses or fanatical folks living in fantasy land…and he doesn’t
have to.
And by the way, how the heck does Wunderlich know what recruits are being told. Well, because he doesn’t.
