Update on Garrett (FR WR Tennessee #35)

Garrett got his first action today vs UConn...played the last series. We ran the ball every play, but still really awesome to see him out on the field at Neyland. He had a couple of nice blocks. We hoped they'd throw a quick slant to him at the end (Navy Shuler - Heath's son - was in on the drive, and he isn't a passing QB), but he locked up his CB on two runs to his side instead.

Had the defense not had three scores he probably would have played a little more (because the 2nd string played well into the 4th...just not a lot of drives for them to get experience).

I know it's only the end of the game vs UConn, but getting on the field in the SEC as a true freshman (and not an early/Spring entry) is definitely exciting! He has dressed out for every game except UVA (injured).
