For any parents with kids you hope will get into UF one day, at the BoT meeting last month they outlined a new process for students applying.

The current process is that everyone applies by Nov 1, and everyone gets their decision on the same day in late Feb, with Accept/Deny being the only two decisions you can get.

Starting next year, they are making the following changes:
- Early Action Admission: Apply by Nov 1, Decision by Jan 26, Decision Options: Admit/Deny/Defer
- Regular Admission: Apply by Jan 15, Decision by Mar 15, Decision Options: Admit/Deny/Waitlist/Pathways
- Extended Admission: Apply by Mar 1, Decision by Apr 5, Decision Options: Admit/Deny/Waitlist/Pathways

I'm guessing this is good for families that are willing to wait until the last second for acceptance, like most of us with kids on this board.

You can watch the meeting here, this discussion starts around 1:15. https://mediasite.video.ufl.edu/Mediasite/Play/1163589f56b949f9b1fd262d4440dd991d
