Excuse me but exactly what has Ohio State done to be ahead of us?
Ohio State has 24 athletic programs to Florida's 21. The best 19 finishes are counted, so we have a smaller margin for error. Here's how hey accumulated points.
The Buckeyes' 12 scoring women's teams included ice hockey (second), volleyball (fifth), basketball (fifth), swimming and diving (sixth), gymnastics (ninth), tennis (ninth), rowing (12th), cross country (15th), soccer (17th), golf (31st) and indoor (18th) and outdoor (31st) track and field.

The 10 scoring men's teams were tennis (second), football (fourth), wrestling (fourth), volleyball (fifth), gymnastics (ninth), swimming and diving (11th), golf (15th), soccer (17th) and outdoor (37th) and indoor (41st) track and field. The co-ed fencing team also finished fifth.

One reason why Stanford wins it every year. They compete in more sports than anybody else.

Exactly right. Counting track & field as 2 sports for men and 2 for women, as they have indoor and outdoor seasons, I think Stanford competes in 38 sports, whereas Florida competes in 21. Stanford gets to use the 19 sports where they did the best, of course using the 4 required sports like everybody else - football, men's & women's basketball and women's volleyball. But a huge, really unfair, advantage for them especially; but also other schools that field that many more teams than others.

And this is why I'm more impressed when UF wins the SEC All Sports Trophies, Men's-Women's-Combined.
