I truly believe that the Vols battle with the NCAA will accelerate major change re: NIL and the relevance of the NCAA. Historically, when schools get investigated by the NCAA, they are vocal in their message of cooperating with the NCAA, self-reporting, and general soft mea culpa words. Not in this case. Tennessee is drawing more lines in the sand than Castaway's Tom Hanks.
I have a contact inside the walls of UT who tells me that they are going to war on this. The Vols are basically telling the NCAA: "Everyone is doing this. What are you going to do about it?"

Tennessee has an elite NIL program and plenty at stake here. Let's let them carry the water on the road to change. Keep paying attention to what happens here. I can promise you that all the major college football programs are closely watching the show in Knoxville. I don't see Tennessee taking a knee. I believe this is going to re-define college football and put the formal compensation of athletes in the fast lane.
