RedZone Quick Hitter: May 2, 2024
I have previously mentioned this, but it was worth mentioning again today! How about that RedZone!!! We could be better, but we are really close when we move a player into our RedZone. A ton and a ton of thought goes into this process. This is not a whim where we randomly throw someone on the list and hope it sticks. I consult daily with many folks before we move someone into the RedZone, including SR, Bblake, Heisman, Halley, etc. This is a community, first and foremost, and our goal is to "try" to keep the community one step ahead of the game. It is a very tricky situation with just recruiting in general, but with the added pressures of NLI, it can sometimes become a real head-scratcher. Back in the day, it was only about whether a school wanted a kid and whether the recruit reciprocated that thought process, but not in today's recruiting world. So much goes into this stuff, and I wanted to make sure you all know this is something other than me doing this on my own.
