As I said when I made the post about the commit coming within 24 hours, and it not actually happening, I wasn't going to run away from it, or hope it faded away.
I didn't want to out the young man because he didn't follow a time frame that he wasn't required to follow in the first place.
However, I felt like I did owe the membership an explanation of what happened.
I spoke with Jashon Watkins earlier today and then interviewed him tonight so that while he isn't ready to make a commitment public to the Gators he could explain what has been going on while I could give the membership the name of the kid who was supposed to commit within 24 hours a few weeks ago.
