Hadnt seen this mentioned here, but looks like the relationship in College Station is now unofficially officially over. A&M is 4-3 with a now questionable-looking beatdown in Miami and two consecutive losses where Jimbo declined first-half possessions via his clock management -- with both losses coming by a single possession. Some pearls from Jimbo's reign:

0-8 on the road vs Top 25
43-24 overall (Sumlin 45-22 thru 67 games; 51-26 overall before firing)
8 consecutive losses in true road games (last road win: Oct 2021 @ Mizzou)
3-9 vs P5 opponents going back to 2022

Carolina, @ Ole Miss, Miss St, Abilene Christian, @ LSU remain for 2023. Jimbo's buyout currently stands at over $76M, which will smash the previous buyout record - I believe to be Gus Malzahn's Auburn deal. From everything I've read no one "wants" to pay him $76M to not coach the team but any narrative that the money isn't there and/or A&M isnt prepared to move on are false.

Their hot board consists of:

Mike Elko
Dan Lanning
Kalen DeBoer
Josh Heupel
Mike Locksley (lol)

Prime will be championed by the fan base but he is reportedly not leaving CU after one season; Buffaloes' entire roster (and more importantly, both sons) expected to return in 2024.
