2 of our best recruiting coaches on staff were fired, DL recruits jumping ship left and right, 2 of our best players transferring (one still waiting to find out who our DL coach is), replacement coaches have yet to be named despite apparently being hired.
Seems like it was a great opportunity to show that Billy got the concerns of the fans that were painfully obvious all season (ST, OL, D, OC), and act decisively with a plan for everyone to see.
Firing 2 coaches immediately certainly got everyone’s attention, but apparently hiring ones that can’t hit the ground running and can’t be announced during such a pivotal time, seems like yet another self-inflicted wound.
The pitchforks are out in full force, looking to pounce at any misstep, and God forbid if we lose our 2 highest rated D recruits in the process.
