It showed in coaching ability. They didnt want to be there nor did the players
And that^^^ is bullshit! Fans expect someone to take charge especially when they're dedicated to an Alumni and football team, and left hanging to watch TRASH!! There must be some insurance policy for paying customers that expect a good game at the least. The college game from multiple angles is riddled with tumors.

Which would explain the lacking practices. They were probably too focused on their next career destination than adequately preparing for the game.

We talk over and over about how this program had become very undisciplined and lacked maturity. We saw it play out on the field with penalities, personal fouls, fights on the field, flexing/posing after a play when losing, and of course....throwing shows. It doesnt help when the HC is acting childish during interviews and even dressing up like darth vader.

That all being said, the best type of discipline is taking it upon yourself to go the extra mile and do more than what's required of you. The players can talk about how they wanted to play this game.....but words are cheap. Show me your actions. The actions we didnt see are player-held practices to make up for the lack of coach led practices. And yes, player-held practices are more common than some people might think. I've seen it being done in youth sports and higher, including college football(see link at bottom)

If I want an "A" on a school test really badly, Im not just going to do the bare minimum untill the day of the test.

In the end, they did the bare minimum, got a "D", and then threw a hissy fit on national tv after the game because their abilities didnt match their egos.

anybody have a count on how many of these coaches were with him at Louisiana verses outside hires? Reading the boards, it looks like the majority were with him there. Hope this is not a Mullen type coaching staff which is more about loyalty than ability. I'm all for loyalty, but you have a huge checkbook and the ability to go get P5 and NFL type assistants. Hope Napier is taking advantage.

3 of them. Juluke, Toney & Stapleton. The rest of the on field staff is coming from somewhere else.
The others so far are Raymond (LSU) & Colbert (Southern Cal)
