Mann, Locke, Glover Gone - Who's Next?

You missed my point. We have a coaching staff with no experience working together and a team with no experience playing together, and no experience working with the coaches. Also, the players do not know the playbook, but that's ok, because with 2 new coaches we are probably going to be changing the playbook anyway. In the pros you can get away with it a bit, because so many players can isolate and go get a basket, but in college, they have to work as a unit, and they are far, far away from being a unit.

Little Loopy Lizzy's MW hate is on display:
~ When Mike had to transition his offense on the fly during the season after KJ went down, it was --- that's just an excuses for the team's production.

~ But now that Mike has 4 xfers and an incoming Fr plus 2 new Ast coaches to adjust in 7 months, that's going to be too much for him to handle so they're doomed.

As always from his village wall, spewing drivel outta both sides of his mouth.

A new Gator B-Ball team is forming up in April 2021.
The first game of the new season is Nov 21st, 7 months later.
So, is 7 months a long enough time to learn an offense and gel as a team?
Especially when all but one of them (Fr recruit) already have plenty of college playing experience coming in?

UF routinely has fresh faced HS recruits that come in and play well right away.
Recent examples under Mike are Nembhard, Locke, & KJ....

Last season UF lost the starting PG to xfer and installed a new offense centered around KJ, who then goes down in game #4. Mike then had to alter the offense on the fly during the season that they had spent the entire off-season installing.

So making a big deal about 5 new guys joining a 15 member roster is really no big deal imo, considering that they have a 7 month window to get it done.

And the same goes even more for the 2 new Assist Coaches.
Coaches move around on a routine basis throughout their careers..

Depending on the playing decisions by KJ and CC, the next offense will need some tweaking anyway, just like most off seasons as team members come & go.

Little Loopy Lizzy's excessive and obviously biased fault finding is moronic and tiring. It's just more Rat style Fake News imoho.

It's good to see that you haven't given in to the lure of reality.

Stay in your delusions! You'll be safe there!

Baylor and Gonzaga have used transfer players with a great deal of success. We are about to find out if White can do the same. Next season, depending on KJ, looking at 5 transfer starters.

But, have they brought in a bunch of transfers while replacing two assistant coaches at the same time?

I'll grant that a (REALLY GOOD) coaching staff with years working together can pull a bunch of transfers together in an offseason, but I question whether a staff that is 2/3 new can do the same. On that note, have we hired any yet? Clock is ticking.

Good ole LLL, using his own math inventions says that when 2 of 4 coaches (1/2) are replaced, then it's a 2/3's transition of the coaching staff,,, so he's obviously a cum-loudly math grad....

Ok. so evidently on 8/1/2014 the NCAA created a new bylaw adding a 4th basketball coach. So it's 2/4 not 2/3. I need to keep up with the times. This does make me feel better about my team next year (not your team, hater), at least there are two coaches who have worked together.

But Insta, you are an enormous douchenozzle. And I mean that wholeheartedly.

Gator's 4 Active 'On The Court' Basketball Coaches:

3. Jordan Mincy Ast Coach - Under Mike, he's advanced to a HC'ing job at JU.
(oh btw, little JU is the home of Artis Gilmore -- look him up)

4. Darris Nichols Ast Coach - Under Mike, he's advanced to a HC'ing job at Radford.
(His freakin' home town is Radford, VA, he grew up there, and his brother Shane will be joining him on the coaching staff)

Any insinuations by moron VI's that they have 'bailed-out' on Mike White is,,,,, what haters routinely do.

And 4 additional support staffers that don't coach on the court.
All 4 of the support staff remain on the job with Mike and Al.

Oh sweetie, watching you think you can gloat about anything, ever, is just so darn CUTE. Don't overtax your brain cells too much, though, if one dies the other is going to be awful lonely.

Christian Webster is widely regarded as an excellent young assistant coach. In 2020 he was named to ESPN's 40-under-40 list of the Top 40 head coaches and assistant coaches in Division I men's college basketball. He was also named an NABC (National Association of Basketball Coaches) 30-under-30 honoree in 2017. Webster has spent the past six years coaching at Virginia Tech. A former Harvard player with a degree in psychology, Webster spent his first two years coaching at Harvard before moving on.

Mike White's annual monster SoS continues unabated as they begin the 2021-22 season with:

"The first game for Florida so far for next season is scheduled on November 27, and will be in the Fort Myers Tip-Off and they will face 2 of these 3 teams, --- Cal, Ohio State, and Seton Hall."

Any news on our supposedly new assistant coaching hires seems to be dragging on forever thanks!!

Not sure what I think of our chances next season as of now but most of these way out predictions by the media don't have us as a threat to win the SEC and think we will be 6th or 7th. I do think this team can contend if one of those transfers can be a decent PG.

If White wants to impress early he might try to find a way to beat FSU finally. He should have already had one win by now just by luck alone.

I guess you missed the fact that they were leading @ FSU before KJ did the face plant on the court....

To me, beating FSUcks in any sport is always fun, but it's never been a high priority for me, it's usually just one game in a season. The two biggest wins vs the criminoles (for me) were these:
SOS's UF 52 - 20 FSUcks for the 1996 NC.
And the already fired Zookster beating them @ FSUcks the night they dedicated their field to Saint Blobby Bowdown...

The most annoying loss was the ACC officials created 'Swindle in the Swamp' fiasco....

I will admit its not the same as losing to them in football but its crazy he has lost every game to them so far.

Will White finally do something worthy of cutting the nets down finally like the 3 coaches prior to him or will he have another season of not reaching something worthy of that?

Florida makes its first assistant coaching hiring of the 2021 off season official. Erik Pastrana. A Miami native, Pastrana has an extensive background in the state of Florida and most recently comes from Oklahoma State.

Of course, the Mike haters already know that no assistant coach can come up to speed with the other coaches and the players in just 6 months, so they're doomed.....
🤗

Pastrana most recently spent two seasons with the Cowboys and played an influential part in the development of star guard Cade Cunningham, who is widely projected to be the No. 1 pick in this summer's 2021 NBA Draft.
20.1 Pts - 6.2 Rbs - 3.5 Ast - 1.6 Stl - 43.8% FG - 40% 3's - 84.6% FT

So, where are the 'bail-out' haters when a coach of this quality 'bails in,' because they want to work and coach with Mike White?

"It was going to take a special situation for me to leave Stillwater, and I found that in the University of Florida and coach White."

Where and from who did Pastrana hear about Mike White?
How about from the 1st Ast Coach to 'bail out' on Mike at UF?

Before Oklahoma State, Pastrana spent one season at Florida Atlantic under former UF assistant Dusty May, who had previously coached alongside White from 2015-18, (before he 'bailed out' to become the 1st of 3 UF Mike White assistant coaches to be hired away as a HC).

This coach should be a great help to Mike in coaching up UF's large and growing group of guards (7).

Yes, I'm sure Cade Cunningham thanks the good Lord every day that Pastrana was there to teach him how to play basketball. He only came in as the #2 recruit in the nation (ESPN) and spent a whopping, what, 6 months with the program before going pro?

Yeah, Pastrana gets ALL the credit.

You have to stop spinning so hard, you're gonna throw up.

When a Mike coached player doesn't draft to the NBA, it's all Mike's fault.
But when a Pastrana's player does, then he deserves no credit for it.

That's how a Mike hating 'bail-out' advocate turns into a massive 150 mph spinning cyclone....

All of LLL's baseless drivel is about one player, certainly not on his coaching career. So typical of the clueless VI LLL twit....

"We're really excited about Erik joining the Florida program," White said. "He has a proven track record, coaching and recruiting at a high level everywhere he's been and will be a great fit with our team and our staff."

Pastrana spent the 2017-18 season as the head coach at Daytona State College, where he had 4 players named to the Mid-Florida All-Conference Team.

In his 3 seasons at SFA, Pastrana and the Lumberjacks won 3 consecutive Southland Conference Championships, had 3 straight Southland Players of the Year and earned NCAA Tournament victories over VCU in 2014 and West Virginia in 2016.The 89 wins that staff accrued tied for the most by any coaching staff in its first 3 campaigns in NCAA history. <<------<<<

Go read and learn a little,,, for a change.

You were the one who said Pastrano was influential in the development of Cade Cunningham, but you see the problem is you were, as always, FULL OF SH*T. He had basically no influence on the kid.

I have nothing against this coach, heck, quite the contrary, I hope he does great things for us, because he is now a Gator, coaching Gators, and I want the Gators to do well. You know, I WANT Mike White to do well. I WANT Todd Grantham to do well. I WANT ALL THE GATORS TO DO WELL. I've just seen too much failure from White and Grantham to think anything is going to change, and I'm not afraid to say it's time to fish or cut bait.

But back to the point, your statement, it was garbage, and now you are being all pissy because you got outed yet again. Grow up.

Speaking of being overflowing with dodo....

Grantham had 2 Top 10 in the nation defenses before the Kung Flu shitty season.

And Mike has made a post season Tourney every year that they've had one, and never gone 1 and done.
Now list all of the other Gator B-Ball coaches that have done that.

And do it while you continue to spill drivel outta both sides of your village idiot mouth....
😩

A small school guy, but he was an assists leader and a defensive MVP I believe.
Time will tell how the two new hires fit in and work out.

Gator coach Mike White will tap Florida Atlantic assistant Akeem Miskdeen to round out the staff. Miskdeen has been at Florida Atlantic for 3 seasons and has had coaching stints as an associate head coach, assistant coach, recruiting coordinator and director of basketball operations at 5 different program over the last 13 years.
=====

According to Florida Atlantic's athletic website, Miskdeen is a noteworthy guard developer and has been credited with grooming Anthony Adger at FAU, Jalen Avery and Jaylin Walker at Kent State, and Quinton Chievous, Reginald Johnson, Jr., and Deron Powers at Hampton.

At FAU, where he coached for three years, Miskdeen worked under former UF assistant and a protégé of White's, Dusty May.
