Jay Bateman: My Take:
Jay Bateman has been great for the Gators. The guy was as professional as you would want from one of your coaches. We talk about NRA (Natural Recruiting Attrition), and it not only applies to recruiting but coaching as well. This is what you hope for when you hire coaches. You hope they are so good that eventually they get a big-time promotion and raise and move forward in their career. That is what Coach Bateman is doing; he got a HUGE raise and the DC title - this move was a no-brainer. I can also tell you this guy was not coaching OR recruiting with one foot out the door, and folks in the building had no clue he was leaving. That is how great a job he did handling this sticky situation. I wish Jay nothing but the best.
