It’s funny how nobody talks about Deion needing time to put his “system” in place…

or makes excuse after excuse for losing and poor performance.

He just changes things and kicks your ass.

sadgator’s guessing nobody will have to make any excuses for Hugh Freeze either…just a guess…

Things to ponder on this enlightening Saturday…

I definitely agree if we still look like a mess in 2024. The scary part is the game management. It's like they don't even have the basics down when it comes to special teams (8 people on the field and that jersey mess) and clock management when trailing late in games. Napier is also a hard head on going for 2 just because some sheet says your chance would be better to win a game taking into account you could lose in OT.

If we start lining up correctly in the next game, can we consider that improvement?

Oh by the way…Freeze up 31-7 over Umass at the break…

Anybody here have any doubt that we would NOT put up 31 on Umass even in 4 quarters?

Hope everyone is having an awesome weekend of watching other teams!

It's understandable now why people were saying how much more improved our defense has been looking. They were playing against our offense!!

Oh, and I am now more pissed that he snatched Hunter out of our fingertips.

In a couple of red-zone trips by Utah's offense,
Florida's defense twice gave up Quarterback runs for a touchdown!

In both of those cases, a spy would have been helpful against a dual-threat quarterback.
Hopefully, that spy can make a successful tackle without wiffing on the opponent.
With everyone covered, there was no defender to stop the QB-run.

On their schedule, Florida will face many more DT-Qb's: i.e Tennessee, ?Kentucky, ?Vandy, South Carolina, ?Georgia, Arkansas, LSU, ?Missouri & FSU.

Bascially, everybody else on Florida's schedule. Lol!

Good win for the Buffs. Deon's son looks really good. Just 1 game, so lets see how this thread holds up come November.

I understand this take. But that was a 1-11 team, so he has to win 1 game of the next 11 to show improvement.

If he hits 6-6, that is a COY type job.

Deion has a QB who is very good. Got some good players on the team as well

If you had told sadgator in the mid-90’s that he would one day in the future be legitimately entertaining the idea of Deion Sanders leading the Florida Gators…

He would have told you to never give him those drugs ever again…

Kind of an alarming stat, gator coaches to get to 8 losses.

Meyer- 27-8
Mullen 29-8
Napier 6-8

Obviously circumstances are different for each coach but man, that's rough.

To be fair tho, Norvell started 8 and 13 and has turned us around so you never know.

lmao - this time last year UF just beat a top 15 Utah team and then the rest of the season happened. Colorado has 1 point of data and will win a Natty this year - sure thing.

Colorado played like it wanted to win. Florida does not play like it wants to win.
Colorado plays like it wants to kick your ass. That’s how the swamp kings gators played. Because the coaches DID want to kick your ass and wouldn’t accept less. The contrast with the current attitude is pretty glaring.

Nobody’s saying they’re going to win the natty. We’re saying that a one-win team played with more fight and organization in week one than we are in year 2. That fair enough?

No it's not fair. You are using 1 data point in time to compare UF. That's a silly way to analyze things. Btw you looking a team saying they "want to win" and another doesn't want to win is just your opinion. That you can't see even that is telling.

A one-win team coached by Deion Sanders. I remember laughing at him wanting to be a coach.

Saying it’s one data point is silly. It’s not 1 data point, it’s one game and we’re comparing the two teams’ performances in that game and how well the coaches had their team prepared to compete in the game.

Within that comparison, there are a million data points: program revenue and resources; roster turnover; availability of recruits; teams’ record and recruiting prior to coaches’ arrival.

It’s a fair comparison. It doesn’t mean it’s conclusive but it’s perfectly fine for discussion on a message board which I believe is what we’re doing.

…and he is apparently engaged to Tracey Edmonds who might very-well be the hottest 56 year old woman on planet Earth…
