It appears that Isaiah Stokes might not be redshirted this season as previously expected. According to Mike White, his conditioning is coming along much better than expected and the Gators could really use his ability to stretch the floor and guard the four, an assignment that has been given way too much to Egor Koulechov. Here's White's comments on Stokes from Thursday afternoon's press conference.
“The one thing I’ll tell you on Stokes is he’s dropped some weight, he’s really doing well with changing his body, so Preston’s really proud. He’s been really focused on what he’s eating and it’s not like he’s in a great conditioning state right now because we’re still holding off somewhat. Hopefully he’ll be a full go here at some point, we’ll see.”
