He got shut down Friday night...good thing is we have 3 or 4 guys on this team that can score a lot of points. We know that Allen can get on a roll shooting the ball. We are good in transition and shooting great from the line too.
John will make this team be a deep tourney team. Hayes can’t handle the inside.
It is so nice not having to watch Hill at PG anymore.

No doubt...we need to get Mike White to a big contract soon.
We just have to hope that we don't come up in the tourney shooting bricks...but they are very impressive thus far.

Damn what a game. We gave it away but we will be ok. I hate to say it but a good learning experience. Took our 3 and 4 *’s and Gave the #1 team with all their 5*s all they wanted.
Great game. This was more about what we didnt do at the end of game. Get egbunu back and we can beat anybody in the country.

I know it...we were up by 17 with 10 minutes left in the 2nd half...we just slowly let them back into it. We just stopped hitting shots...then at the end missing those free throws and the 2 turnovers at the end got us. This team is good though...we will get better and when we get the big guy back we'll be a force this year. We are going to straight whip some teams too.
Lets be real, those tick tack calls that mount up for teams like Duke kept them in a game they shouldn't and wouldn't have been in.. That's why it's impossible to beat blue bloods, you have to play more than perfect the entire way. If that wasn't good enough to beat them, then its a waste to play them..

Duke and these teams can play like shit and still be in the game at the end because of those calls for two points like the one where we got a rebound and not a soul was around, but a whistle blew for two points to cut it into within double digits. They aren't and weren't better than Florida, and they wouldn't beat this team with Egbunu. Basketball just continues to be too helpful for blue bloods in trouble. Not sure. If that was the case, why do they get beat by double-digit seeds most years in the NCAA tournament?
Because those teams catch fire, it's not as much of a Duke thing as it is kentucky and kansas, and UNC.. but last night they got the little ones all 2nd half that kept them alive when they weren't doing anything productive and got two free throws from no one bodying them at all.. Those calls kept them in it, Florida has it happen every time they get up big on these teams.. It's almost worse to have a big lead because those calls swing the momentum slowly then it hits you in the face once they are able to play more physical than you and the young players can't recoup and get out of rhythm, that's exactly what happened to our half court sets again last night once they muddied up the game and Duke was at the line killing the pace of our transition from stops.. We live off of transition, and when the game gets close like that young kids can't overcome it, make just a few turnovers or mistakes and a few missed FT's and it all snowballs on them like it did.. They need to learn to slow it down with the lead like that and stop taking quick shots up 14-15 with 4 minutes left in a game to help out with more possessions unnecessary to defend. They should have won that game last night, and I know if they keep playing like that when it matters and get better later in the year on defense and rebounding with Egbunus help how the pace of the game goes won't matter and we will be up on teams by 20 from more stops and rebounds to run outs and transition.. Egbunu is the key in the middle to this team making the next elite step and possibly cutting the nets down..

Yea, I was angry last night. But this is a very, very good Florida team. Mike White will learn from it. He has shown the ability to learn from mistakes. He still is no where near his ceiling.
if all that we did good wasn't enough to beat duke playing a bad 2nd half, those little calls help them.. people point it out all the time, when these blue bloods play bad they still have a shot and it's a real thing.. You have to play perfect the entire 40 minutes to beat them, and that's just too much for young kids..
but Stone and Hayes can't be on the floor when we play those teams in the tournament in clutch minutes, period. Those kids are turnover machines and play like kasey hill losers...
