Florida-Arkansas Set for Noon Kickoff on ESPN2
The Gators and Razorbacks will meet on Nov. 4 at noon on ESPN2.
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Florida Gators and Arkansas Razorbacks are set for a noon kickoff on Nov. 4, airing on ESPN2, the Southeastern Conference (SEC) announced Monday.
Last week, the Gators Ticket Office announced that the game has been sold out, marking the fourth consecutive this season and eighth overall under head coach Billy Napier as there were four games sold out in his first season last year after having four sellouts since 2018 prior.
The Gators own the all-time series with an 8-2 record and are 5-0 in The Swamp vs. the Hogs and have outscored them in Gainesville 217-102. Both sides last squared off in 2020 at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium where UF won 63-35. Before that trip in 2020, Arkansas last played at Florida in 2013, a 30-10 victory for the Orange and Blue.
The game will also mark Saluting Those Who Serve presented by VyStar Credit Union and Florida will debut black jerseys for the first time in school history. Gator fans attending the game are encouraged to wear black in support of this initiative.
In recognition of the teamwork spirit and the core values that characterize military members and first responders, each player’s nameplate on the back of their jersey will display one of five words that are synonymous with the principles embodied by those who serve. The five terms, which were selected by a representative of each branch of the military and first responders, are Honor, Courage, Commitment, Excellence and Integrity.
Fans can gear up for game day by purchasing the official black alternate jersey and other sideline apparel here.
“I know Gator Nation is excited about the team wearing black uniforms, but I don’t want us to lose sight of the intent relative to creating awareness and showing gratitude and appreciation for all branches of our military and first responders,” said Florida Head Coach Billy Napier. “We’re doing something that’s going to be a lot of fun, but ultimately, we’re hopeful that we can recognize and show appreciation for a lot of selfless people that have chosen a profession of service and put their lives at risk each day.”
