Look, I'm as pissed off, stunned, and gut-punched as anybody right now, but tearing into Marco Wilson and demanding he quit the team is not a good look. Did he make one of the most idiotic mistakes in football history, one that will be remembered by Gators for the rest of time? Yes. But...
1. He didn't turn the ball over three times in the first half.
2. He didn't rest Pitts because he thought he had the game in the bag.
3. He didn't miss a game-winning field goal.
4. He didn't (solely) let a true freshman QB pass all over him.
5. He didn't go three and out three times in the second half.
6. He didn't abandon the deep pass.
Point is, Marco didn't single-handily lose this game for us. Yeah, he probably made the biggest contribution, one that he'll regret for the rest of his life, but I don't think it's wise to pin this on him or unleash a hateful wrath on somebody just because they suck at football and decision making. Recruits and families read the boards and Twitter and we're going to make ourselves look worse by attacking him.
