Here are a few notes and observations from Saturday’s BadgerSport Elite 7-on-7 event at USF in Tampa:

-Tampa Plant’s James Wilder Jr., a Florida target, was the most chiseled athlete on hand. In fact, it wasn’t even close. Quite frankly, he looks like a professional bodybuilder. According to Panthers coach Robert Weiner, at this time Wilder favors playing RB in college. At Plant, he plays both RB and DE, but many think the 6-foot-2, 220-pounder is best suited for LB in college.

-Palm Beach Gardens Dwyer TE Nick O'Leary, who has offers from Florida, Georgia and Miami, among others, looks much bigger than his listed 215 pounds (he‘s 6-foot-4). The grandson of golfing great Jack Nicklaus, O’Leary has a solid upper body, good feet and excellent hands.

-Tampa Alonso DE Anthony Chickillo, who boasts offers from the likes of Florida, Miami and Southern California, picked up another big one last week from LSU. Chickillo said he’s thinking about attending Nebraska’s upcoming spring game with Clearwater Countryside OT Tyler Moore, a ‘Cornhuskers commit. Chickillo plans to graduate in December.

-After Wilder, ATH A.C. Leonard, a Florida commit, might have been the next most impressive athlete -- in terms of physique. Leonard, who has transferred from Jacksonville Ribault to Interlachen, is definitely a go-up-and-get-it kind of receiver.

-DB Nick North of Hollywood McArthur, who couldn’t compete because of a minor leg injury, said Florida is one of the schools he has received interest from. North, by the way, went up against Miami Northwerstern QB Teddy Bridgewater in practices leading up to the event, and is convinced Bridgewater will be a big-time signal caller.

-Plantation DE/LB Ryan Shazier, who has a Florida offer, said most schools are recruiting him to play LB. He’s 6-2, 200 pounds right now. Shazier is taking an unofficial to Florida on either the 27th or 28th of this month.

-Miami Northwestern WR Eli Rogers, a top Bridgewater target, plans to make an unofficial to Florida soon. “I love Florida,” he said. “I’m perfect for that offense.” Florida has not yet offered; UCF has.

-One sleeper to watch might be North Broward Prep WR A.J. Sebastiano, who arguably is the top WR for the South Florida Express, a team representing the Miami-Fort Lauderdale area. The 6-foot-1, 185-pounder, who recently has burst onto the recruiting scene, is getting interest from Illinois, Indiana and Northwestern, he said. He hopes to make unofficials to Florida and Ohio State, among others, this summer.
