Though it hasn't been confirmed independently yet, Rivals100 running back Mack Brown told me via text message this evening that UF running back coach Kenny Carter has informed him that he will no longer be coaching for the Gators.
More when we hear it.
11:30 p.m. Update: Brown just went over the discussion with me that he had with coach Carter. Brown said that coach Carter told him he was leaving for a better opportunity, and more money.
I could tell by Brown's voice, that he is still in a daze.
Brown said that for now he is still committed to UF (will put the direct quotes on the front page), but he had to talk things over with his family.
When I asked him what other colleges have been in contact, he said Tennessee, Florida State, Clemson and Auburn.
