As promised.

Key Pharses: THE GROVE-the primary tailgating party before, during, after the game. If you've never experienced it, you should at least once in your life https://olemisssports.com/sports/2018/7/20/trads-the-grove-html.aspx
The Square: The downtown Oxford area full of bars and great eats https://visitoxfordms.com/about-oxford/the-square/
Vaught-Hemminghway Stadium-Where the game is, lol https://olemisssports.com/sports/2018/7/20/facilities-ole-facilities-vhs-rules-html.aspx

Use this map to get your bearings as you go through this. You want to be walking distance to THE SQUARE/THE GROVE/THE STADIUM. You can see all clearly from the map on the top

Brief aside, if you’re traveling with your wife have her PM me for private arrangements.

So if you plan on going to the Ole Miss game this year, here is all the information you need from someone that has lived and worked in Oxford part-time for 10 years.

First, STAY IN OXFORD. OXFORD IS A VERY WALKABLE CITY. This should be your first option. It is worth the money to stay in Oxford after you factor in the traffic, parking, walking, time, and to get the full Oxford/Grove experience. NOTHING WILL BE CHEAP ANYWHERE NEAR OXFORD, BE PREPARED TO SPEND 2,000-5,000 TO GO TO THIS GAME IF YOU WANT THE FULL EXPERIENCE OF OLE MISS/OXFORD.

BOOK EARLY. Like now. Everything will fill up and sell out quickly. Your best bet is to book a home on AirBnB or VBRO. IT'S WORTH IT. You will have to book the entire weekend and expect to pay a few thousand for this. Housing and hotels are limited in Oxford and they sell out for big SEC games like this. Book CLOSE TO CAMPUS. If you can park your car and walk about a mile you will do just as good as if you drove and parked. Not a lot of close parking available. In short, it's worth it for ease and convince.

IF YOU CAN, BOOK NEAR THE SQUARE. Oxford is a charming college town with several good restaurants and bars all over the small downtown area all centered around an old courthouse square. The square is about 1 mile from the Grove and 1.1 from the stadium. If you can find a place w/in walking distance to the square then you are likely also w/in walking distance to the Grove and the stadium.

So lets go through a few things:
Hotels within walking distance to the Square, the Grove, and the stadium
Marriott Courtyard https://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/uoxcy-courtyard-oxford/ THE BEST LOCATION FOR EVERYTHING
The Graduate Hotel https://www.graduatehotels.com/oxford/
The Chancellorshouse https://chancellorshouse.com/?gclid...qM2aRGCrcqvQUp38vI-9u9xLGlVt_hjkaAtweEALw_wcB
The Inn at Ole Miss (long shot you can get anything here) https://www.theinnatolemiss.com/
Home2Suites Hilton (about 1.3 miles from Square and Stadium) https://www.hilton.com/en/hotels/uoxhtht-home2-suites-oxford/
The University Inn (about 1.1 miles from Square and Stadium) https://visitoxfordms.com/place/university-inn/
Ole Miss Motel (close to Square) https://www.olemissmotel.com/
The Z, bed and breakfast in the downtown area https://www.thez-oxford.com/

Those are all the hotel that I consider to be walking distance to The Square, The Grove, The Stadium

There are several other hotels in Oxford but they are further out and you will need to drive or uber or whatever to get to the game/grove/square

Other Lodging Options
Use AirBnB to rent a home near the Square/Grove/Stadium. I highly recommend this. Get a few couples and go in on it together. There are several available. Use the map to make sure you are close to one of these areas, usually w/in a mile is good, OXFORD IS VERY WALKABLE.
