So, every time this game comes up, there are some of you who make the claim that you hope “they are undefeated when we play them so we can ruin their season” blah blah blah…
Why?
Why why why why why?
Why would you want to subject the rest of us to non stop blathering about how “they are back”
Or see them try and use their weak schedule (which is and alway has been the secret to their success) to cobble together a decent recruiting class?
Or just deny us the beauty of a nole loss? The single greatest thing that can happen in college football aside from a Gator National Title? Why wouldn’t you want to see them get pounded by Maryland or Duke by 50? Why would you want them to be happy about a single game?
Why would you do that?
Frankly, the ONLY position to have on the noles is to root for them to lose every single game by as many points as possible. They deserve to be irrelevant. They never deserved ANY prominence and there is no reason why we should have to hear about them any longer. If YOUR little “fantasy” happens, then that year is potentially ruined, and I love college football too much to want them to have any chance to taint another title or even get undeserved praise on a national level.
So what the hell is wrong with anyone that that would take that ridiculous position? Are you happy now? Because I’m not. If we’re going to have a tough season, the only consolation to take is to watch them lose too. Why would you want to deny that to the rest of us?
Hopefully, you’ve learned your lesson. Regardless, you are objectively wrong. A winless nole season would be infinitely better than us beating an unbeaten f$u every single year. This is a fact and I will not harbor any dissent in this topic.
We have three more chances to watch them lose this year, and I hope they lose every one of those games by 200 points and their entire class bails on them and they shut down their program out of embarrassment. So anyone who has that inexcusable take, I hope you now see the folly of your ways and we never have to see anyone make that claim ever again.
