Dale I would educate you further, but since you run from a confrontation like the French, I can only hope your hotpockets are not overcooked like your brain.
I think there is a method to his madness, Dale just had too much time on his hands.

What's 100% better than going by someone else's recruiting stars or position ratings?

"When I was coaching at Florida before, the big rule we had was to get into every school in the state and make sure you’re not missing prospects,” said Dan Mullen. That's become a HC'ing 'mandate' for his current staff.

Mullen recalled how Florida’s coaching staff had different evaluations than the recruiting services on former Gators and current NFL offensive linemen Mike Pouncey and Maurkice Pouncey. According to the 247Sports composite records, Mike Pouncey was rated a 3-star prospect in the 2007 recruiting class and Maurkice was rated a 4-star prospect, but that may not have been the case when the Florida coaches first took notice of them. However, they became SEC-C's and NC's at UF.
2010 - OC Maurkice Pouncey **** 1/18 Draft Pick by the Steelers
2011 - OG Mike Pouncey *** 1/15 NFL Draft Pick by the Dolphins
So apparently the NFL thought they were both 1st Rnd 5 Stars all along...

Hey nailed-head, 3 Star Dan and the 3 Star 1/15 NFL Draft Pick said hello....

Along with 3 Star Ath/WR/QB Kadarius Toney 5-11 194 (the human joystick) Fr starter with an 8.6 ypc. Saban attempted to flip him just before NSD but failed.

RB Malik Davis was also just a 3 star with he committed to UF.
Rivals gave him a 4th star after NC Dabo attempted but failed to flip him to Clemp's-son. Davis (6.7 ypc) was having Fred Taylor Fr stats before going down injured vs thug UGA.

Dan to his staff - “You’ve got to go find these guys. They’re out there. Go find them.”

But hey, I can see why you'd call him 3 Star Dan, because his 1st class (23, including 5 that he flipped.) at UF had 15 (65%) that were 4 star (rivals) rated recruits, with only 2 months to recruit them. o_O

And since his 2nd class (rivals) at UF had 18 commits, with 14 (78%) being 4 star rated on NDS, (when it counts) anyone with a dust-bowl Choker edjewmacation can easily see that he's just a 3 star kind of guy....

Dan's first 2 classes at UF = 41, with 29 4 stars (71%).

Frost hasn't shown any interest in graduate transfers. He is the sort of coach that likes to have time to mold a quarterback into his system.

Maybe Right could use him at Miami, Rosier is not a championship caliber QB IMO.

UF continues to be responsible for new and different Recruiting innovations:

~ 2005 Meyer created 'Friday Night Lights' which has since been copied by several other schools.

~ 2012 Muschamp created 'Junior Days.'

~ 2014 Muschamp added a '7 on 7 Tournament' at UF for HS teams.

~ 2015-16 McElwain expanded Florida’s summer camp schedule. In addition to 'Friday Night Lights' and the 'Mini-camps in June,' he created 3 separate camps for QB's, Linemen, and Underclassmen.

~ 2018 Mullen begins his 'Gator Grill Out' on a Saturday afternoon for recruits and their families.

The other visit opportunities center around football and what the UF program has to offer. This weekend will be a chance for recruits and their families to interact with the coaches in different setting and get to know them away from the field and football facilities. -- Gator Nation, Gator Teams, and the Families they impact for a lifetime....

So, Mullen will continue to hold the annual summer camps and recruiting events at Florida, but Saturday’s Gator Grill Out will be the start of another new Gator tradition. -- Nice move and addition Dan,,, (iG). :)

Didn't your Big-whatever also invent FNL's before 2005???
And Mini-camps, and 7-0n-7 Tourneys, and QB/OL/Upperclassmen camps?

Again,,, we see why they 'nailed-his-head-to-da-flor'....

Yep, Texass and Choke-la-homo are always leading the Mighty Big12,,,, right down the conference has-been's toilet with their over-bearing control and their rampant greed.
Like TX has their OWN network, (why doesn't Ok?), while we have the SEC Network and all 14 teams share equally with the conference generated revenues.

SEC - 14 Teams (the last 2 additions bailing out of the failing Big-12 - Ark came in when the Big-8 collapsed) with a Conf. Championship game, and many NC's. ;)

The Mighty and Prosperous Big12/10, is reduced to begging the NCAA to let them have a 'rules exception' so they can again have a Conf.Championship game without actually having the required minimum of 12 teams, because they suck so bad that after years of trying to expand, they still can't entice enough other teams to join their crappy has-been's conference.... o_O

Unlike the crappy SEC, which is never the leader in anything having to do with college sports...

PS
UF just won 4 SEC-C's in a single weekend.
Baseball - Softball - Men's T&F - Women's T&F.
UF Women't Lacrosse recently won their 8th consecutive Conf. Championship.

So what? He hasn't been a Gator since 2016.
I said back then that he should have already been removed from the team.
IMO, they gave him 1-2 more chances than he deserved, and he still 'screwed the pooch.'

Because of his athletic abilities, the Browns chose to give him a chance. He's their problem now, while he hasn't been for UF since his 2016 Soph season. UF did try with him, but some just seem to never be able to learn from their bad choices.

In the world of HS recruiting of student/athletes, every now and then you're going to get a lemon. Either they make lemonade, or they will eventually get flushed down the toilet.
Choices and personal responsibility, get right, or get outta town... o_O

Found 900+ total arrests for FBS college football teams in the last 5 years.
That's one every other day. Top 50 programs:

Oklahoma among FBS leaders in player arrests over last 5 years.
The dust-bowl Chokers ranked in the Top 5 with 21 arrests.

The most memorable recent incident, however, was the arrest of 5-star RB Joe Mixon after he struck a female student at an off-campus restaurant. Mixon was charged with misdemeanor assault and suspended by the program for the entire 2014 season, but is right back on the roster in 2015 and expected to contribute this year.

WR Genson Hooper 6-5 205 - Houston, TX - uncommitted
2016/2017 - 36 for 756 yds, 21.0 yds/rec, 9 TD's.
While 247 still has him as a 3 star recruit....
~ But with a 115.68 Nike score at the TX 'Opening' Regional.
4.48/40, 36.8 Vet, 4.2 shuttle, Power Ball 37'
(can Cleveland or coach Johnson give him a tweet or two?)

“I want to get an education that will be worth the while, that will be quality and I can be proud of 20 – 30 years down the line,” Hooper said. “I really put in the work on the football field but in the classroom as well."
Currently 16 offers including: TN, Miss, VU, Cal, MichSt, ND, VA, Duke, AZ, Bay, NW, etc.

I sure hope that Dan has that one on UF's recruiting radar... o_O

The Florida Gators have several prospects on their campus on Friday with another slate of summer camp circuits. An intriguing name that has gotten some buzz on the recruiting trail that will be throwing at Florida's camp on Friday is Ocala (Fla.) West Port three-star QB Brian Maurer. The local signal caller only minutes away from Florida's campus has garnered a lot of attention on the recruiting trail as of late, after earning an invite to the prestigious Elite 11 quarterback competition later this summer. Before that, Maurer will throw in front of the UF coaching staff.

Heading into the Elite 11 finals earlier this month, Maurer came in as a relative unknown, but impressed scouts there with several impressive throws. Throughout all three days of the Elite 11 Finals competition, Maurer was consistently mentioned as a name that stood out of the 24 quarterbacks that competed. He will have his shot to compete for the top overall quarterbacks in his class that made the prestigious Elite 11 2019 class during the Nike Opening Finals in Dallas, Texas later this summer from June 29 to July 3.

"Maurer is a player we didn’t know a ton about it,"
247Sports' Greg Biggins said following the Elite 11 competition. "He had back-to-back strong days and definitely put himself in the mix to make the Finals. He threw the ball very well Sunday in 7-on-7, making some big-time throws in clutch situations and is an intriguing kid for sure."

After giving the UF coaches his verbal commitment earlier this year, Baltimore (MD) St. Frances Academy QB-dt Jalon Jones 6-3 205 is set to make his first visit back to The SWAMP as a UF commit.

According to the four-star signal caller he will be back in Gainesville this coming Tuesday in order to spend time with coaching staff once again, however this time he will step foot on campus as a part of the Gators 2019 recruiting class. The two have a strong bond dating back a few years, and according to Jones he talks with Mullen about anything. “When I say Coach Mullen is my man and I am his man I mean it. I have always been able to call him whenever and just be able to talk with him. He is a really good mentor to me without a doubt. There were times this past season that I had trouble grasping some concepts defenses were throwing at me. I snapped some pictures and sent them to coach Mullen and he helped me and broke it down and told me what to do. I call him anytime for advice and I feel like he’s started that molding process for me as a quarterback.”

With his recruiting process now over, he has turned his attention to recruiting others to join him at Florida in 2019, and has been in the ear of several of Florida's top recruiting targets. Jones has no plans to visit any other schools in the future, and is only taking one official visit, which will be to Florida the weekend of October 6.

Add a Grad-xfer, with 2 years of instant eligibility, to the 2019 class.

DE Adam Shuler II 6-4 270 rsJr - Longwood, FL (WVa xfer)
WVa - 24 Gms - 67 Tkls, 9 TFL, 4 Sacks, 1 FR

Adding Shuler means that players who would have otherwise had to cross-train at DE in Todd Grantham’s 3-4 defense can move fully to a rush OLB spot — like, say, Cece Jefferson. He could get a shot in the arm if he takes to rushing off the edge like many think he will. And Shuler, getting his degree this quickly, means he's no dummy.... ;)

What does it take to be rated a 3 Star recruit? Just ask FS Trent Whittenmore....
He only played FS, CB, WR, QB, RB, and Punter. o_O
Oh, and Yale offered him a scholarship....

The Gainesville Sun's area Big School Football Player of the Year after leading the FL 7A Bucholz's Bobcats into the state playoffs, playing out of position at quarterback most of the season.

Big School Basketball Player of the Year, played PG while averaging an area-best 21.6 point per game and totalling 1,061 career points in 23 games.

Whittemore pretty much did everything for the Bobcats in the fall, stepping in at quarterback for injured Cam Orth, starting in eight of 11 games, passing for 888 yards with 11 touchdowns and 6 interceptions, also rushing for 451 yards with 3 TDs, and caught 29 passes for 404 yards and 5 TDs. :eek:o_O:eek:

Defensively, the UF commit started at free safety and corner, posting 34 tackles, 2 interceptions, 4 pass breakups and a game-saving caused fumble at goal line and recovery in victory over Belleview. He also punted in 5 games, averaging 35 yards per kick. :eek:o_O:eek:

Trent is just another one of the many reasons that the 'STAR' ratings mean so much to me now days....

PS
He's either 6-3 185, or he's 6-4 204,,, depending on who you choose to believe...

Florida - warm -- currently a UF lean -- 12 roster, with 2 commits for 2019.
FSUcks - warm -- 6 roster, 1 commit (lack of depth might be a recruiting add)
Things can change a lot between now and 2020 NSD...
scUM - cool
tennis-sea - cool
Ar-kansas - cool
A long list of other are also cool...

Other recent scUM decommits -- WR Burton and Ath Williams.
WTF's going on in Mi-Am-I? Recruits waking up to reality maybe? ;)

Under the banner of Way-Way-Too-Early to bother with....

WR Leonard Manuel 6-4 200 ***** - Ocala, FL - (a prior scUM 2020 commit)

Florida - warm -- currently a UF lean -- 12 roster, with 2 commits for 2019.
FSUcks - warm -- 6 roster, 1 commit (lack of depth might be a recruiting add)
Things can change a lot between now and 2020 NSD...
scUM - cool
tennis-sea - cool
Ar-kansas - cool
A long list of other are also cool...

Other recent scUM decommits -- WR Burton and Ath Williams.

Cocaines just picked up a 4* CB and are ranked #6 in rivals why 3* Dan sits at #27 ?:eek:

(have all of their checks cleared yet, and will they all still be there come NSD?) ;)

I remember you constantly shooting off at the mouth when UF's class was ranked in the 90's, after Mac was fired, and then like the dip-chit that your are, disappearing on NSD when that class jumped all the way up into the Rivals Top 25... o_O

You and your little butt-buddy, the tennis-sea mouth-foamer, are always the best of everything in the off seasons, but often disappear when the 'real' happens to you again.

2015 Rivals #23 Class - Mac (21) good
2016 Rivals #14 Class - Mac (25) better
2017 Rivals #9 Class - Mac (23) best
2018 Mac had another Top 10 going with 16-17 commits before being fired.
It dropped all the way to 90's with just 5-6 commits before Dan started recruiting.

2018 With just 2 month to recruit, he salvaged a small #18 class. (18)
And he did that without even having a full coaching staff yet.

2019 When ESD + NSD are in the books, then we can talk about the 2019 class rankings.
(right after you disappear yet again, like the crow-dinner coward you always are)

BTW, you rival fan circle jerks are mundane, repetitive, and boring...
(and the sad thing about that, is those are your best traits...)
