WNBA 2025 Season Begins in MAY.

Reese is a slug, not a cup, and she is about as coordinated as a just born baby giraffe...
The WNBA/Media tried to equate Clark/Reese to the Bird/Magic competition,,,, total BS imo.
Caitlin can loosely compare to Bird, but Angle is not in the same universe as Magic, so no real competition exists there.
They will need to build up their 'rivalry' elsewhere. Maybe with the incoming rookie #1 pick of 2025 (U-Conn).

Caitlin has the all around game and freakish passing of a Bird, plus the shooting accuracy/range+ of Steph Curry,,,, generational.
While she also has the audience/fan drawing power of a Michael Jordan.... (he just cut her an endorsement deal)

Reese is just an average B-ball talent show-boat that's attempting to be a net influencer imo.
Without some drastic changes, I don't see her hanging around for long in the W as a loose canon drama queen...
My mistake when I said Reese is fat. I actually thought of another obese chick Kalim once defended.

Have you seen his UFO thread?
Only a smattering of it ...

I've buried ALL of the ignorant trolls that ever posted to that thread. Most of them have just slinked away, too embarrassed to post there any longer. The reality of the Infinite Universe is/was just to much for their limited intellect to handle.
I knew in 1969.
Bob Lazar told the public in 1989.
In 2017 the NY Times posted the Navy F-18 gun camera footage of the Tic-Tac, Go Fast, and Gimble to leave no doubts.
The Navy and the Pentagon have both confirmed the footage as accurate and real.
Case Closed....

I just post there now for any that are open minded and interested.
😎
All others that are comfortable with their delusional ignorance can now KMA.... 😛

Self respecting people don’t watch women play sports. It’s silly.
I like watching women at almost any activity. Even the bitchin' can be entertaining if you can maintain your own perspective.

But for those like you, watching these guys should be right up your alley....

@instaGATOR Where you a fan before Clark or is she why you got hooked? Just curious. She’s definitely increased interest in women’s sports more so than anyone I can think of in recent memory.

I watched the NCAA Championship game with Iowa/Clark and that got me interested in Caitlin, even though Iowa lost.
Then I later watched some of her utube highlights and that's what got me interested. I had never watched a full WNBA game before Clark arrived there. Since then, I have become aware of several very talented players for both the Fever and for other teams.

Not hooked imo, but certainly interested now in seeing how she develops and how she's changing the WNBA as a whole.
Clark's affect on the WNBA is very similar to the NBA, which I had all but stopped watching, then Michael Jordan occurred.
I lost interest in the NBA again after a few years and I don't currently follow the NBA. If I jones for NBA occasionally, I'll watch a highlights utube on Larry Legend or former Gator PG White Chocolate...

The Fever only have 5 returning players, with 7 open slots to be filled by 10 new possibilities in the preseason.
With only a week to practice together as a team so far, it will be interesting to see which of the 10 steps up to claim a spot on the regular season roster. Should be a lot of rotations of those 10 newbees (vets & rookies) to see who fits where...

Preseason practices began on April 27th with the first 2 preseason games being this weekend:

Sat May 3rd @ home vs Wash. Mystics - 1 PM NBA-TV
Sun May 4th @ Iowa in an exibition game vs the Brazil National Team. - 4 PM ESPN
Sat May 10th @ Atlanta 3 PM - Broadcast not listed so unsure if it will be made available live.

Regular Season begins on Sat. May 17th at home vs Chicago - 3 PM ABC & ESPN+

Rookie Season - 8.4 Assists to 5.6 TO's playing 35+ Min/Gm as the primary ball handler.

The TO's where high the first half of the season because her teammates where not used to Caitlin's passing skills.
Now everyone on the floor with her keeps their head on a swivel to keep a ball from bouncing off their heads...
By Mid-season, the TO's were dropping with a corresponding increase in the Assists,,, and wins.

I watched WCBB from 1987 to 2012 to watch Pat Summitt hold court and to cheer on the flagship university. Maybe Caldwell can restore the brand. She is easy on the eyes, heterosexual and took a team supposed to miss the tournament for the first time ever and got them to the sweet 16. She also defeated Uconn in the regular season. Recruiting is supposedly back on track.

I haven't watched a single game with Clark in it but the drama is interesting. I have watched highlights and other youtube videos regarding her and her time in the NBA.

If that's what you're really interested in, and don't already know, then trolls can look stats up for themselves... 😎 (felt sorry for ya, so here,,, 13 Asts, 5 TO's --- And how about some bonus stats: FG 7/14 50%, 3's 5/9 55.6%, FT 10/11 90.9%)

not trolling, want to complete the picture, you posted the game stats, but left out the TOs.

BTW, I always look at ALL THE STATS and don't cherry pick (reduces cred).

If she had 5 or fewer TOs, that's good, 5-10+ is not as good

edit - 13 / 5 TOs is a damn good game. Thanks.

And how about her shooting percentages for that game, on top of the other eye-popping stats???

FG 7/14 50% --- 3's 5/9 55.6% --- FT 10/11 90.9% --- And with all of that, the team still lost by 5 (84-89)

With the 2025 rebuild of the roster, this time they will run & gun the other teams legs/butts off.
Clark will still lead, but she won't have to carry the team this time around it seems to me.
I'm really looking forward to the game tomorrow to see how they are gelling so far.

The iG's favorite addition to the Fever's 2025 roster is Sophie Cunningham. (plus she's hot!) 🧐
On an unrelated to B-Ball subject,,, the Fever has the best looking (prettiest) roster in the WNBA imo. 😉

Please let this obsession die or at least keep it to yourself. Nobody gives a crap.
You have to click on my thread to get here, your option not mine. 🤓

So, please GTF off of this thread, and don't come back, because I don't care where else you decide to take a crap....

As to NOBODY, I don't recall seeing any where you have been elected to speak for anyone but yourself. When you claim to speak for everyone else on a MsgBrd, you only show your own idiocy in action.
😝

If there's really no other talented players in the WNBA, then why did Caitlin come in at #4 in the leagues MVP voting???
=====

And just to further annoy the women haters here....

Fever beat the Wash. Mystics today in OT.
They shot 28% in the 1st half while going 2 of 13 on 3's, they really missed CC running the offense.
But they came back from being 15 down to win in OT.
My new girl, Sophie Cunningham led all scores and played tough defense.
I'd move her to a starters slot.

Caitlin didn't play due to the claim of some small lower leg injury.
I think that they just wanted more time to see how her possible backups played.
CC is slated to play tomorrow vs the Brazil National team at 4 PM on ABC/ESPN+.

And despite what the WNBA head of officials claimed to the commentators during the game, their refs still STINK ON ICE imoho.

Please let this obsession die or at least keep it to yourself. Nobody gives a crap.

Information and/or Trivia morsels:

Friday May 2nd Chicago Sky 89 - 62 Brazil (-27)
Angel Reese dropping a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds in 16 min.

Sunday May 4th Indiana Fever 108 - 44 Brazil (-64)
Caitlin Clark stats today In 19 minutes, CC scores 16 points on 6-of-10 shooting, including 4-of-6 3-pointers, along with 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 1 blocked shot.
That's on pace for a Triple Double (32-12-10) if she played the entire game....
Clark led her Fever to a hot start, taking a 70-24 lead at halftime when she left the game.

However, she did hit a 36' eye-popping logo shot in transition before leaving the game.
😲
=====

In the 2022 WNBA season, 28.7% of the WNBA identifies as LGBTQ.
For the slow, that leaves a vast majority of 71.3% that are straight.

Meanwhile, 60% identify as black or African American, with only 1.5% as Asian.
Jun 6, 2024 · "Bueckers said that 80% of the post-season awards in the WNBA were snagged by Black players, and yet they got 50% of the media coverage of White athletes. “I think it’s time for change."

My alternate opinion on those numbers is this: Something needs to be done with the unfair and racist condition of 80% of the post-season awards going to black players.

The iG actually finds that equally as stupid of a claim, as the profit driven media attention for whites being a race problem when it's the money, just like it's the talent difference in the 80% where the awards go statement.
Talent drives the 80% >>>> Money made by the companies in the coverage drives the media.

As to the politics or party of the individual players,,, I don't GaS about it, as I've never taken political advice from anyone based on their athletic or entertainment status, or a lack thereof.

NOBODY CARES....
The Fever has already SOLD OUT every one of their 2025 season games, home and AWAY!
I'll let others figure out which of those 2 claims is backed by facts, and which is just BS.
This PACKED arena has your NOBODY CARES swingin'.

Average ticket price for the Fever vs Brazil game was $670.00 with an attendance of 14,998.
So, for a WNBA preseason exhibition game, they took in 10 Mil+ ($10,048,660) in gate alone.
And this game SOLD OUT months ago when all the tickets were gone in just 36 minutes after posting.
Sorry, but that looks like some serious interest (care) to me.... NOW YOU KNOW!

The Fever began the preseason camp with 15 on the roster., 5 returning, 3 draft rookies, and 5 free agents. After the first week of practice and 2 games, they have cut 2 (1 rok + 1 FA) from the roster.
Two more will have to be cut by May 15th, down to 11 on the roster for salary cap purposes.
The W doesn't have G-league or other options like the NBA has.

If NOBODY truly cares, then what is driving these Caitlin Clark Endorsement deals???

BTW, due to all of her endorsement deals, she has donated nearly her entire 4 year Rookie WNBA Salary to her charity to feed the needy. Last calendar year, she earned a staggering $11 million off those endorsements. Now she wants to use those endorsements to help those who cannot afford the basic necessities of life. As per the Des Moines Register, the Caitlin Clark Foundation, in association with Hy-Vee, started a round-up campaign in March.

On May 6th, Clark’s foundation donated $300,802.85 to the nonprofit organization Feeding America. All the proceeds came from her very own Hy-Vee cereal, which along with the round-up campaign has helped donate to 18 Feeding America food banks. This happens to be her latest effort to help children in the Midwest after she donated 22,000 books in the offseason.

Her 11 known college NIL deals are worth a combined estimate of $3.1 million.
She ranked 4th among all NIL-eligible athletes and 1st in women’s college basketball.

Nike with a signature shoe = 28 Mill over 8 years.

Wilson Sporting Goods with a signature ball, the first since MJ = 10 Mill
In addition to basketball products, Wilson will support Clark's eponymous foundation and its mission to uplift and improve the lives of youth and their communities through education, nutrition and sport.

Topps Trading Cards = ???

Gatorade, has signed a multi-layered endorsement deal = ???

State Farm Insurance - The 1st college athletic and 1st female athletic to sign with them.

Panini America - She became the 1st female athlete to sign an exclusive trading card and memorabilia contract with the company. Her top 1 of 1 card sold in auction for $366K, breaking the old record by 100K..

Gainbridge = ???

Buick = ???

Zfinity = ???

Just seems like a lot of endorsement $$$$$$$$ for something that NOBODY cares about....
🙄
-----

The BIG3 basketball league (Ice Cube) extended an offer to Clark to play one season (2024) in the 3-on-3 league in just 8 games + 2 potential playoff games that was worth a reported $5 million.
She turned them down with a no thankyou, maybe next year....

"Nobody cares, no one is interested." That's the claim from the ignorant and/or trolls.
They have a problem though, and here it is:

The NBA LA Lakers will have 39 of their games on National TV in 2025.

The WNBA Champions from 2024 will have 33 of their games on National TV in 2025.

The Indiana Fever with Caitlin Clark will have
41 of their 44 games on National TV in 2025.
