UF vs UGA ESPN gameday, it’s official!

CBS picks this game nearly every year. Also both universities and past AD's love it because it deters the drinking into the evening.
They have picked games that were not ESPN/ABC. However they usually (not always) pick the game Herbie is calling.
Keep in mind that if Gameday doesn't get it, SEC Nation probably will and then you get Tebow and Finebaum.

The No. 9 Florida Gators travel to Jacksonville Saturday to face SEC East foe Georgia. According to VegasInsider.com the No. 7 Bulldogs opened as 8-point favorites over Florida in this game. However, the line has now moved down to Georgia being favored by 6.5-points.

I think UGA has more talent top to bottom but Mullen is getting every ounce from our guys. UGA should be a 7 point favorite on paper. If the 2-3 throws that Franks usually makes don't go the other way - I like a 1 score game either way.

God I hate Georgia. I remember those years before Spurrier when they regularly beat us like a drum, even when we had better teams. I was at many of them. And then when SOS got there it all turned around and I was there for all of the wins under Spurrier and Meyer. Zook was even 2-1 against UGA. The only game I missed for 25 years was the year they played in Athens due to renovations for the Jaguars.
Ocala, since 1950, the mutts have only been better in the 2 decades (1970's - 1980's) while Vince was there. UF owns the rest of the decades in W/L head to head.
They have a 5-3 lead on our Gators now, but hopefully the team puts an end to it on Sat.

Gators won in 2010. If I remember correctly that was Trey Burton's herioc year. Urban left only losing one to UGA.
It's actually 4-4 this decade and we've won 3 out of the last 4. I just remember those games where they cost us the SEC title. One of those was the 1976 4th and dumb call by Doug Dickey and then the 1980 "run' Lindsay, run" game where we blew it at the end and they went on to win the national title. That very day we were moving from Jacksonville to Lake Asbury in Clay County. I didn't go to the game. We moved ourselves with help from a couple of relatives/friends and had a big U-Haul and several cars packed with all out stuff except for the TV. We all sat on the floor eating pizza and watched that game. What a heartbreaker. And then a few years later, '85 I think, we were ranked #1 and they beat us 24-3.
