With all the Lane talk, thought I would think in another direction. What is everyone’s thought on Lincoln Riley?
Seems like he might not be the best fit at USC. He could possibly use a change of scenery. At 41 with a 77-20 overall record, I think he is someone to look at. He was 55-10 at OU with multiple conference titles.
An argument could be made that he was fortunate that he was the recipient of good QB play with 3 heisman trophy winners and Jalen Hurts.
Red flag to me is that it was reported that he was unhappy with OU’s decision to move to the SEC which is one factor for him leaving for USC. He also reportedly was actively trying to get out of the LSU games. Not sure what to make of that.
Finally, he would need to find a top notch proven DC. That seems to be an Achilles heal for him.
Interested in everyone’s thoughts. I am definitely intrigued with the idea and curious as to if he would/could be a possibility.
