The trump House of Cards Begins To Crumble...

Trump is clearly the biggest thread that the permanent, elites of SC have ever faced. Therefore, DJT (#45 and probably #47) is the most investigated person in American history.

One HUGE reason I love DJT is that he has ALL the correct enemies!

Trump Lawyer Torn To Shreds As He Flubs His Way Through Ari Melber Interview

7fohho.jpg

Under grilling by MSNBC’s Ari Melber, an attorney for Donald Trump struggled to produce evidence supporting the former president’s case in the Georgia election interference probe.

Drew Findling is representing Trump as he seeks to fend off a potential indictment in Georgia, where a special purpose grand jury recently concluded a monthslong investigation into Trump’s efforts to pressure state officials to throw out Joe Biden’s 2020 victory in the state. The Fulton County district attorney’s office is considering potential charges.

On Monday, Findling filed a motion to quash the special purpose grand jury’s report and to prohibit the Fulton County DA from filing charges related to it.

On MSNBC’s “The Beat” Tuesday, Melber pressed Findling to present his defense of Trump’s actions in Georgia, which included a phone call to Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger in which Trump said he wanted to “find” the exact number of votes he needed to win.

Justice Dept has more evidence of possible Trump obstruction in documents probe -WaPo

(Reuters) - U.S. Justice Department and FBI investigators have amassed new evidence indicating possible obstruction by former President Donald Trump in the probe into classified documents found at his Florida estate, the Washington Post reported on Sunday, citing sources.

FBI agents seized thousands of government records, some marked as highly classified, from Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in August. The investigation is one of two criminal inquiries into the former president being led by Special Counsel Jack Smith.

After his advisers received a subpoena in May demanding the return of the classified records, Trump looked through some of the boxes of government documents in his home out of an apparent desire to keep certain things in his possession, the Post reported, citing people familiar with the investigation.

Investigators also have evidence indicating Trump told others to mislead government officials in early 2022, before the subpoena, when the U.S. National Archives and Records Administration was working to recover documents from Trump's time as president, the Post reported.

Trump’s Latest Accounting Gambit Just Failed
ACCOUNTING ERROR
Donald Trump tried to delay turning over accounting documents by using a little-known firm in Texas. A New York judge just put the kibosh on it.

Already drowning in legal trouble from his recent arrest and two other potential criminal indictments on the horizon, former President Donald Trump continues to delay the New York attorney general’s attempt to bankrupt him—this time, by finding Republican-friendly accountants in Texas.

His family company, the Trump Organization, was forced to scramble and find new accountants early last year amid accusations it regularly faked business records to inflate assets. The shunned Trumps settled on Whitley Penn, a relatively unknown accounting firm that doesn’t even rank among the “Big Four”—not even among the big four in North Texas.

But a potential reason Trump selected Whitley Penn became obvious to AG Letitia James’ investigators last month, when the small firm made clear it wouldn’t simply comply with her team’s subpoenas in New York seeking information about the Trump Organization’s latest finances.

In a March 23 letter, Whitley Penn’s lawyer cited “constraints imposed by confidentiality obligations” and explained how Texas law shields clients from undue intrusions of privacy.

What a TERRIBLE Day for Donald Trump:

- A brand new ABC news poll shows that Trump's favorability rating has fallen to just 25%.

- Former advisor Stephen Miller has just testified before Special Counsel Jack Smith's January 6th Grand Jury.

- New York Supreme Court Justice Arthur F. Engoron has ordered his accounting firm, Whitley Penn to hand over tax documents to NYAG Letitia James in her fraud investigation.

And it's only Tuesday... 🤣

Donald Trump’s close presidential aide and speechwriter Stephen Miller returned to testify to a federal grand jury in Washington on Tuesday after the courts ordered that he and other top advisers must share their recollections of direct conversations with the then-president related to the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot.

Miller is likely to be asked in the grand jury about his phone call with Trump minutes before the Ellipse rally that day, and other conversations they had about the election. The grand jury is hearing evidence as part of a special counsel’s criminal investigation.

Miller’s appearance at the federal courthouse Tuesday morning – alongside his lawyer and prosecutors from the office of special counsel Jack Smith – adds to a parade of witnesses the 2020 election investigators have secured in recent weeks.

Miller and his attorney declined to comment Tuesday.

Donald Trump flew into New York and arrived in Manhattan early Thursday morning ahead of a deposition in front of New York attorney general Letitia James. Trump did not stop as he stepped into Trump Tower but was seen waving briefly as he hurriedly walked inside.

He took to Truth Social shortly afterwards, confirming his arrival while taking the opportunity to slam James as “racist” and “TRUMP HATING.” “I built a GREAT & prosperous company, employed thousands of people, built magnificent structures all over the World, but particularly in New York, & now have to prove it to this LOWLIFE,” Trump fumed, while taking aim at the judge in case.

James filed the civil lawsuit in New York state court last September against Trump and his three adult children—Don Jr., Ivanka, and Eric—alleging rampant business and tax fraud.

Appeals court rejects Peter Navarro’s bid to retain hundreds of presidential records

7a5bc5992e513a5db1639bbe4e9e3f70

A federal appeals court panel on Wednesday rejected a bid by former Trump White House adviser Peter Navarro to retain hundreds of government records despite a judge’s order to return them promptly to the National Archives.

“There is no public interest in Navarro’s retention of the records, and Congress has recognized that the public has an interest in the Nation’s possession and retention of Presidential records,” the three-judge panel of the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals concluded in a unanimous two-page order.

The Justice Department sued Navarro last year, seeking to reclaim hundreds of records — contained in Navarro’s personal ProtonMail account — that the government said should have been returned to the National Archives after the Trump administration came to an end in January 2021.

Navarro acknowledged that at least 200 to 250 records in his possession belong to the government, but he contended that no mechanism exists to enforce that requirement — and that doing so might violate his Fifth Amendment rights against self-incrimination. Last month, U.S. District Court Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly rejected that claim, ordering Navarro to promptly return the records he had identified as belonging to the government.

Federal investigators are asking witnesses whether former President Donald Trump showed off to aides and visitors a map he took with him when he left office that contains sensitive intelligence information, four people with knowledge of the matter said.

One person briefed on the matter said investigators have asked about Trump showing the map while aboard a plane. Another said that, based on the questions they were asking, investigators appeared to believe that Trump showed the map to at least one adviser after leaving office.

A third person with knowledge of the investigation said the map might also have been shown to a journalist writing a book. The Washington Post has previously reported that investigators have asked about Trump showing classified material, including maps, to political donors.

NEW YORK (Reuters) -A Washington, D.C., appeals court on Thursday declined to shield Donald Trump from the first of two civil defamation lawsuits by E. Jean Carroll, a writer who said the former U.S. president raped her nearly three decades ago.

The district's highest local court, the Court of Appeals, said it did not have enough facts to decide whether Trump deserved immunity, after he accused the former Elle magazine columnist in June 2019 of lying about the alleged encounter.

A ruling that Trump was acting as president, and not in his personal capacity, would have immunized him and doomed Carroll's first lawsuit because the government could substitute itself as the defendant, and the government cannot be sued for defamation.

I'm fine with this. Trump was acting as an individual not POTUS.

You should be able to sue the government for defamation though.

NEW YORK (AP) — The co-founder of a fundraising group linked to Steve Bannon that promised to help Donald Trump construct a wall along the southern U.S. border was sentenced to four years and three months in prison on Wednesday for stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from donors.

Brian Kolfage, a decorated Air Force veteran who lost both of his legs and an arm in the Iraq War, previously pleaded guilty for his role in siphoning donations from the We Build the Wall campaign.

A co-defendant, financier Andrew Badolato, was also sentenced to three years for aiding the effort. He had also pleaded guilty. A third man involved in siphoning funds from the wall project, Colorado businessman Tim Shea, won't be sentenced until June.

Kolfage and Badolato were also ordered to pay $25 million in restitution to the victims.

2nd firm hired by Trump campaign to look into voter fraud claims subpoenaed by special counsel

Fri, April 28, 2023 at 10:55 AM EDT·2 min read

A firm contracted by Donald Trump's presidential campaign in November 2020 to investigate claims of voter fraud has been subpoenaed by the special counsel investigating those claims, the founder of the firm told ABC News.

Ken Block, the founder of Simpatico Software Systems, said he was subpoenaed to turn over documents related to his work with the Trump campaign.

The firm was the second one hired by the campaign that reported it found no widespread evidence of voter fraud.

The subpoena came from special counsel Jack Smith. Smith is investigating not only the potential crimes resulting from the Jan 6 insurrection at the Capitol, but also claims by the Trump campaign that there was voter fraud after the election.

Security camera footage from former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort has come under further scrutiny by federal investigators in special counsel Jack Smith's office in recent months, according to two sources familiar with the matter.

Prosecutors have asked witnesses testifying before a federal grand jury in Washington, D.C., about the handling of security footage subpoenaed by the Justice Department last year, the sources said — including who watches over it and who has access to it.

Walt Nauta, a former White House culinary worker and Navy veteran, told investigators that Trump had directed him to move the boxes to a different location, an individual familiar with the investigation said last year.

"No experience": Judge rejects Trump "coup memo" author's "expert" witness at disbarment hearing

Proceedings for the disbarment hearing of Donald Trump's "coup memo" author John Eastman began Tuesday in Los Angeles and they're not looking good for the former president's key adviser on his Jan. 6 plot.

Eastman became a central figure in the House Jan. 6 Committee's investigation into the insurrection for his efforts in advising Trump on ways to overturn the 2020 election in Congress. Additionally, a Politico report showed that Eastman also encouraged Republican poll workers and allies to file complaints that could be compiled to challenge the then-upcoming midterm and presidential elections.

On Tuesday, Eastman called a man named Joseph Fried to the stand, referring to him as an "expert witness." The Daily Beast reported that Fried is a public accountant and author of an eBook that detailed his skepticism about President Joe Biden's 2020 election win.

California State Bar Court Judge Yvette Roland was less than impressed with Eastman's attempt to pass off Fried as an expert.

"I don't see how Mr. Fried is qualified to be an expert. He has no experience in voting or election matters," the judge said.

Fake Trump Electors Strike Deal to Testify in DOJ’s Jan. 6 Probe: Report
Special Counsel Jack Smith has offered immunity deals to two witnesses in the investigation into 2020 election meddling

BY NIKKI MCCANN RAMIREZ

JUNE 23, 2023

Special Counsel Jack Smith may have already charged Donald Trump for hoarding classified material, but the Mar-a-Lago probe is not the only Justice Department investigation into the former president. According to CNN, Smith has traded partial immunity for the testimony of two fake electors in the probe into the effort to overturn the results of the 2020 election.

The individuals reportedly testified before a Washington, D.C., grand jury empaneled by Smith to investigate Trump’s efforts to override his election loss and his role in the events of Jan. 6.

In the aftermath of the 2020 election, Trump and his allies allegedly engaged in a scheme to provide an “alternate” set of pro-Trump Electoral College electors for states where Biden had secured a narrow victory. These states included Arizona, Michigan, Nevada, Wisconsin, Georgia, and Pennsylvania.

According to sources who spoke to CNN, Smith and his prosecutors have in recent weeks sought to compel the testimony of various, yet unidentified individuals involved in the plans, and have interviewed at least half a dozen witnesses in the past few days.

Smith’s office has also honed in on various key Trump allies in recent weeks, including his former attorneys Sidney Powell and Rudy Giuliani, as well as Jefferey Clark. Clark, a Trump DOJ appointee, pressured the department to falsely inform the Georgia legislature that they had uncovered “significant fraud” in the state and encourage them to put forth an alternate slate of electors.

It’s unclear if Trump will be indicted in the probe, but if he is it would be the second time Smith brings criminal charges against the former president. Earlier this month, Trump was arrested and arraigned on 37 federal charges related to his post-presidency hoarding of classified documents. The charges against Trump include conspiracy to obstruct justice, corruptly concealing a record or document, and concealing a document in a federal investigation.

Trump may also face charges from Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, who is widely expected to reveal an indictment in her own investigation into election interference in Georgia sometime this August.

https://www.yahoo.com/news/five-six-secret-agents-testified-183854428.html
Five or six Secret Service agents have testified before Jan. 6 grand jury

About half a dozen Secret Service agents have testified before the grand jury that will decide whether to indict former President Donald Trump for his alleged role in the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the Capitol and efforts to interfere in the peaceful transfer of the presidency, according to two sources familiar with their testimony.

Roughly five or six agents have appeared, the sources said, in compliance with subpoenas they received. It is not known what the agents’ proximity to Trump was on Jan. 6 or what information they may have provided to the grand jury.

Special counsel Jack Smith’s investigation into the events of Jan. 6 is separate from his probe that led to Trump’s recent indictment in Florida for the handling of classified documents. Sources told NBC News that about 24 Secret Service agents appeared before the grand jury that considered that case in Washington before the case moved to Florida.
