Sounds like Billy is Out

We need to listen to him…

They also haven't seen that Day has a 58-8 record at pOSU along with no worse than being 4th ranked in recruiting since Meyer left. I believe Ryan Day was also on Meyer's staff at UF.
He was a GA at UF in Meyer's first year.

I think Day is a notch below the top top guys but it’s hard to see being too unhappy with him. Understand OSU fans used to bitch about Urban Meyer when he was literally like 50-3.

Day has two losses that aren’t to Michigan or in the CFP

Not too mention, he gets any WR he wants in recruiting. Literally anyone

He’s basically saying we’re paying him anyway and there’s no obvious benefit to firing him now instead of later, so let him coach. I said elsewhere that Thamel or someone said the Gators want to hold on until week 5 at least so the entire roster doesn’t redshirt and transfer.

I’m done with him but that makes some sense to me. In some ways he’s got this beating coming to him. Plus the FSU game would be an epic battle of nitwit coaches.

Like urb, he gets whoever he wants and gets his entire two deep drafted. So Buckeyes should count their blessings.

Didn't remember him but it looks like Meyers 1st year here he was a grad assistant then moved around and eventually was an OC for Addazio at BC.

As long as we hire somebody who:

Isn’t a bulldog,
Doesn’t LOVE seafood,
and doesn’t conclude every declaratory statement with the word “right?”
sadgator thinks we’ll be in good shape.
I'm out because I LOVE seafood! I meet the 1st and 3rd criteria, though. Does Meatloaf's song apply here - Two out of three ain't bad?

"Stricklin, who is facing criticism of his own after decisions to hire Dan Mullen and then Napier, has been informed the decision whether to fire Napier is his to make. In that scenario, Stricklin will also be tasked with searching for a new coach, sources familiar with the discussions at Florida told CBS Sports this week."

🤣

CBS is FOS. Sources at UF speaking to CBS?

Stricklin seems like he’s good at raising money, which is probably qualification one for the job, so I’m sure they’d like to keep him. But what they’re not recognizing is that they won’t raise a dollar if they don’t fix this football program.

sadgator’s point is, he doesn’t really think the “big boosters” influence much of anything in hiring and firing a coach.

Mus was an ahole bulldog, who had a mutual dislike of the fan base and dismantled and annihilated the soul of our program, so that was and easy one.

Mac-death threats…nuff said.

Mullen had a personal dispute with Stricklin over Grantham otherwise he’d still be our coach.

Everybody likes to speculate about what the “big boosters” will do or can do.

Quite frankly over the past 15 years, sadgator hasn’t seen them do jack sh!t…other than to fvck things up…see Rashada.
U R clueless! Who puts up the money for the NIL Sad? You have no clue.

Some people claim there are big booster businesses tied to that crazy expensive stadium changing work and that is why Stricklin could survive besides the issue with the President. That would be a joke if that is why he survived.

His team sure laid an egg today. Mark Stoops outcoached him, too, it seems. Not saying I wouldn't take the Lane train in a heartbeat over what we've got, but he finally played a decent team after steamrolling 4 patsies and looked very average.

You have games like this and KY can play good defense at times. I thought Ole Miss didn't run the football with the RBs as much as needed this game. KY can have Stoops. He usually gets one real good win a year in the SEC. Don't want no part of his conservative game plan over a whole season.

Sounds like another site is saying the big boosters say our next hire will not be Lanning, Riley. Fisch or Meyer. Lanning due to his huge buyout and the others just aren't happening. Sounds like there is no interest in Riley or Fisch on our end.

If that info is from gatorcountry(Swamp Ass), they can EABOD.

No I think it's from the biggest booster that posts in the Swamp here from what it said. It also said that some interesting options have reached out about the job (maybe Kiffins agent?). It does sound like Napier could still save his job if we somehow recovered to 6-6 but the chances of him doing that are very remote.

I'm fine with not having any of those guys. Fisch is the only one I like of that bunch because he's an alum but he needs more seasoning, haha, double entendre.

Not sure why they don't want nothing to do with him. My guess it's something to do with his non coaching life.
Haha, this ain't identity politics. Perhaps he doesn't have enough seasons and success under his belt yet. Arizona just beat Utah without him and Washington just lost to Rutgers with him. Spurrier won the ACC with Duke before being Gators coach and Meyer won the conference at Utah before being Gators coach. I like Fisch's UF pedigree and offensive focus but maybe he needs a bit more seasoning. Regardless, I'd be ok if we hired him for next season. Muschamp was a hothead, McElwain and Mullen were weirdos, and Napier is mopey dopey. Need a more even keeled offensive smart guy like Lane or Jedd or whoever.

Not sure but the UF admin and the big boosters don't even consider him a possibility.
