0 and 4 (0 and 5 if you count TAMU forfeit). Is this proof that UGA and Bama were carrying the conference all yr or is this the new reality of bowls where teams don't give a shit and show up with a shell of their former roster with kids declaring or entering the transfer portal?

ACC is killing it in bowl season season so far, 2 wins by forfeit. Let's Gooooo!!

Yeah SEC not looking good at all so far this bowl season, especially Mississippi State getting absolutely steam rolled by a 6-6 Texas Tech team.

Actually ACC is 0-1. Louisville lost. The SEC was top heavy this year. With that being said 13 of 14 SEC teams made bowl games so your likely going to get some games like that. I would say just about all the bowls have become meaningless now except for the NY6 bowls or playoff games. Number of reasons for that. Many of which you already stated.

This the reality of college football. Programs like Bama, UGA, UF, LSU etc don't care about any bowl that's not a playoff game. I hate it but that's the way it is.

Circling back to the "we didn't really care" motto huh lol Fsu didn't care about making a bowl game either

Well here we sit and 2 SEC teams are in the National title game. I think the Big 10 is the 2nd best conference in college football. After that the Big 12, PAC 12 & ACC pretty much suck. A lot of it does come down to just recruiting and who has the best players.

SEC was extremely top heavy. No good teams after UGA and Bama, other conference just had none as high as Bama. 3 through 12 in most conferences were about the same(I think the SEC won 1 bowl game outside of Bama and UGA) but UGA and Bama had the best 1 and 2. Bama has run cfb for 10 years. It's getting really boring. Cdb isn't what it used to be because of money and teams like Bama can just hire support staffs out of the wazoo. It's crazy to me that the NCAA doesn't try to create more parity. Tons of thi gs could be done, if you make the playoffs, no transfer, salary cap on coaches, kids at all p5 schools get paid a set amount (same for each conference with each co Firenze having different benefits that are about the same). Limit support staff and recruiting staffs. If this doesn't happen soon, cfb is going to get worse.

I saw Wake spanked that Rutgers ass

Wake spanked Rutgers???? So the ACC runner up beat a Big Ten team that wasn’t bowl eligible and found out six days before the game they were playing? Did you really just use that example?

SEC picked up a couple of nice wins today including Kentucky beating the Big Ten West champ

Socialist much?

Georgia needs to be glad they didnt have to face Ohio State. I dont give a sh!t about them losing to Oregon and Michigan. They are a matchup nightmare against Georgia and Ryan Day would give Kirby fits and get him all out of wack. The way they played tonight without the 5 major starters was unbelievable. Put them on the field and they might have given Bama all they wanted.

A week two loss which was Stroud’s second start and a game against Michigan with wind 40+ miles per hour bit OSU

After watching that, anyone who says the weather in AA didn’t hurt them is nuts. That tram throws it as well as anyone, and that was down their top two WR

Not saying the weather wasn't a factor. It always is unless they play indoors and then that situation favors the team with the most speed. I'm sure we both hope weather is a factor when Utah comes to the Swamp next September. However, Michigan dominated the line of scrimmage that day vs. Ohio State. Stroud is tremendous and even in those conditions he was 34-49 for 394 yards with 2 TD's and no interceptions. But the Buckeyes were one dimensional because they couldn't run the ball. They had 64 net yards in 30 attempts. The Wolverines had more balance and it paid off when they dominated the 2nd half. For the game, 297 yards rushing on 41 attempts, 14-20 passing for 190 yards. Georgia dominated Michigan on the line of scrimmage last night, but regardless of the weather conditions, Michigan had a decided edge on the Buckeyes on that day in Ann Arbor in the trenches, which is where that game was decided. Having been born not too far from Columbus and being raised to be a Buckeye fan and hate the Team "Up North", I've always pulled for the Buckeyes in the Big 10. We moved to Florida in 1959 and I have deep Gator roots, so they are always where my passion lies. But it is hard for me to admit that this year Michigan deserved to be in the playoffs and Ohio State did not. But that's just my humble opinion.

I dont know if anybody would have wanted to play the OSU team I watched play today-tonight. Them boys played with HEART to have 5 big guns not playing.

They were very impressive, especially the 2nd half. Still don't think they could play with Alabama or Georgia right now. Defense isn't good enough. Plus Utah couldn't cover their receivers and they got Zero pressure on Stroud. That would not be the case vs. the SEC's big boys. Taking nothing away from their effort tonight, though, and I agree that they will be a force next year.

Am I allowed to claim a bowl victory for fsu? I know we didn't actually play in one but UCF didn't play in the National title game that one yr and they hung a banner.

With NIL being the law now the NCAA can't control boosters buying recruits.

The transfer rule while too easy does at least let some players depart those top schools but it's usually after they fail to win a starting job.

The 2023 recruiting classes will probably tell us who is going to stay near the top going forward.

You all didn’t have a victory over any team who had a bowl victory- can’t even transitive property a pretend victory

Go slay a bowl of soup and feel good

But we beat teams who beat other teams who won bowl games. Transitive property times transitive property..... does that count?
Can you find a link that allows you to claim a victory over Georgia? Figured that would make your year.

Off topic but today marks the 25th anniversary of the FSU-Florida matchup in the Sugar Bowl. Florida's first ever undisputed national championship
Spurrier with the adjustments... I remember waltzing into that game like an arrogant FSU fan thinking nothing could go wrong
