Earlier this week Tucker Carlson invited Iowa Corn and soybean farmer Ben Riensche on his top-rated program to discuss the massive inflation we are about to see in food prices here at home.

According to Rienshe, grocery prices may increase up to $1,000 per month due to Russia’s sanctions on fertilizer.

“Soaring fertilizer prices are likely to spike food prices,” Riensche said. “If you’re upset that gas is up a dollar or two a gallon, wait until your grocery bill is up $1000 a month. And it may not manifest itself in terms of price, it could be quantity as well. Empty shelf syndrome must just be starting.”

Didn't see that segment but just before Russia rolled into Ukraine I remember someone on TV saying that was Putin's biggest weapon once the sanctions started and it would really hurt the average joe in the US.

Not sure about all that but I don't think the west should be crippling its own people with crazy food and energy prices in a losing bid to get Putin to pull out because that isn't happening in the next year at least if Ukraine decides to keep fighting a long time.

Just hours after we reported that Russia effectively banned exports of fertilizers, moments ago Hungary - one of Europe's most grain rich nations - has circled the wagons and realizing which way the wind is blowing, just announced that it will banning all grain exports effective immediately, in a statement .

Expect wheat prices, already at record highs, to promptly double from here in the next few weeks as the world realizes the extent of the global food crisis that is coming.

.. all hell is about to break loose not only among food producers, but soon, in your local grocery store once US consumers realize that food prices are about to double, triple and more.

The left absolutely obliterated the fertilizer industry in this country to save mother Earth. So, instead, American companies moved them overseas under pressure and now the industry is almost completely unregulated.

More of that follow the science BS from our liberal friends.

I bought a stock years ago WTRNF, that I have been losing my ass on for years. Saw no movement but couldnt afford to sell. Lately it is moving up slowly.

My dad specialized in phosphoric acid the last 20 odd years of his career (largest user was fertilizer industry). Even in its heyday, it was a 7 year disaster cycle. Every 7 years the bottom would fall out and then it would steadily recover for 6 years...with AMAZING regularity.

When the libs finally killed that industry stateside, my dad traveled the globe teaching South Koreans, South Africans and Russians how to produce phosphoric acid efficiently without killing themselves.

***Brazil and Venezuela as well. He has some unbelievable stories about his experience.
