I remember when Hackman hung out with Jack Del Rio in Gainesville when Luke was the QB at UF. Gene was also an avid Jags fan.

Yep he was a great actor and it was probably time for him to go at that age and how frail he looked. The circumstances sound kind of strange. Like either his wife killed herself possibly after he passed or she died before him possibly. She was much younger in her 60s also.
