Recommendations for places for Gator fans?

A friend of mine is going down this year. His son is a Freshman at UF. Aside from Jax Beach, where do 50-year-olds who probably want to act like early 40s go?
It's been a while since I've been. The Landing is no more; God Rest In Peace. I had great times there. I would appreciate any serious referrals to restaurants, bars, and gathering places.

If you've got money River City and st John's town center, if you dont Mandarin and Riverside have a nice selection of restaurants and bars and all the strip clubs are on Phillips Highway. Stay out of Northside and Arlington.
