Rumor has it Sam Hartman (Wake) may be headed this way.
Gray,

The QB room will be basically empty for his 1 year in G'ville -
Not much of a runner, bur does evade rushers & buy time.
Great passer.

Max brown - RS Fresh
Jaden Rashada - True Fresh
Miller - Transfer from tOSU; lost all season to injury; may transfer out

Plus he has some great individual stats -

"...Throws a beautiful, catchable ball and is a fiery leader. The perfect combination for a program desperate for leadership and talent at the position."

Hartman Senior Season - Wake Forest
Sam has thrown for 3,421 yards this season on a 63% completion rate, with a 35 to 11 TD/INT ratio. He has a special deep ball, and is able to put the ball in places that shouldn’t be possible.

Hartman - Career Wake Forest -
Comp-921...Att-1561...%-59.0...YDS-12,687...TDs-107...Ints-40
Rating-144.8

Hartman is reportedly a very sharp young man with a “QB brain”. I’m not familiar with the reportedly quirky sort of offense WF coaches ran but he would likely need to make a pretty big adjustment at UF.

#32 QB-pp Sam Hartman 6-1 186 ***

2022 Wake Forest 7-5, 3-5 ACC, finished #6 in the 7 team Atlantic Div.
WF was about as good as UF in 2022, so Sammy should fit right in here....

1. Hartman
2. Miller III
3. Engel
4 Anders
5 Brown

I think Hartman would be interesting.....

I would think our QB room would be super appealing to a portal QB.

DaGators,

QB room so empty it has an echo !

We will be lucky if the Walk Ons stick around.

The huge negative is development - Napier wearing too many hats - he isn't Steve Spurrier - doesn't have the ability to be HC, QBc, & OC
AND
continue to be so involved in recruiting.

Hartman is pretty dang good. Being on Wake Forest his numbers are impressive and he can really accurately place the football.
Against those Almost Competitive Conf defenses:

63% with 35 TD's to 11 Ints in now a fevered 'very accurate' QB.

I guess he is, if he's only compared to Miller III.....

😂 🤣 😂

Neither has Miller III, Engel, Anders, or Brown.... (I still don't GaF)

PS
BN just went 6-6, so which QB plays, or doesn't play, doesn't matter to me....

You must not have watched Wake Forest much while you were telling everyone that Pearsall was a bad receiver when he had the most yards and TDs at the receiver position.

Idiot and/or a fevered liar. I've never said pearsall was a BAD receiver. I just challenged your claim that he's the best receiver on the team. Your own cherry picked stats spin notwithstanding....

1. Who calls the plays?
2. Who chooses where to throw the ball once the play begins?
The best receiver on a 6-6 team is laughable imo...
None of the Gator receivers made the PFF Top 10 draft-able WR's list.

In fact, none of the Gator receivers even made the NCAA's Top 100 list.
Arguing about which is the prettiest pig on the farm seems a bit silly to me....

Here are the SEC's Top 50 list reps: 4. Tenn -- 42. SCa
-----
52. LSU
55. Miz
57. Miss
67. Miss
76. Ark
77. VU

When was the last time that WR-U (UF) didn't have a single receiver in the NCAA Top 100 list???

HINT: It ain't the receivers fault, or a lack of talent problem among them, in the iG's opinion....
=====

The Coach is 6-6, while favoring his xfer QB and WR from the very get-go.

The QB threw for - 53.8% with 17 TD's to 9 Ints (1.9 to 1), QBR 130.95

And while you're spouting off on stats, you seem to have left out this critcal stat affecting totals:
Games Played -- Longest Reception

12 Pearsall -- L-52
10 Henderson -- L-78
9 Shorter -- L-75
9 Zipperer -- L-44
8 Reynolds -- L-74
7 Whittemore -- L-33

PS - The SEC's 2021 leading RB receiver went 1 for 14 yds in the 7 games he played in, so he's now out the door.
The 2022 Gator RB with the most receptions was Johnson, 12 Gms, 11 for 64 yds, 5.8 yds/catch.
In summary, IMOHO, the Gator's 2022 passing game was a poor joke....

But I'm just one of those stupid/inexperienced bleacher coaches, so all of you football genius types certainly know and see a lot more than an old putz like me every will.....

So yards and TDs are just useless stats now and cherry picking?

Also Pearsall has more TDs than any receiver had last season I think and is on pace with the bowl game to have more receiving yards than anyone on the Gators last season.

That's because Pearsall has proven to be the best WR on the roster. There is a reason he was awarded the number 1 jersey.

Speaking of WR, there has to be one on this roster who can play QB if AR opts out.

3 of 4, 75% for a 1st down and 2 TD's...

Opps, he's gone in the portal due to poor coaching decisions, imo....

So let little Ricky play QB instead....
