I dont believe the players have ever been the problem. Well, maybe that slow fat fuchs on the o line but other than him, my problem has always been with Sling Blade.
He can screw things up but the defense definitely looks higher effort now. Plus they let the defense start attacking instead of thinking too much.
The DBs need work but the rest of the defense doesn't suck. If they had just made sure Dart didn't break contain and run, this game isn't really this close. That's a coaching thing. You train your seals a certain way and they respond. That's the one thing that really bothered me other than the DBs never looking back for the ball. But that's not a unique UF thing, I see that in the NFL as well. That's horrible technique. I wish Oozie was here to weigh in on that.
Well, I think a couple things. A new AD would be all over that. Secondly, he has put himself in a position where next year’s expectation will be a playoff spot and no longer 7-8 wins. Next season his poor play-calling and ridiculous mismanagement of games will being him much heavier criticisms, and will really be a problem if they cost us games. DJ deserves better, we cannot waste the last two years with this kid, who wouldn’t be our starter if Mertz hadn’t gone down.
If Lagway plays the entire season there is no excuse for less than 9-3 next season.
Y'all are the best .500 team in the country and will mop the floor with us next week.

Somebody turned the switch on with this team. It's been awesome to watch the turnaround mid season. Yes I know the record, this team we've watched in the second half of this year (minus Texas) has played inspired football. It is very hopeful for the next few years.
That timeout Napier called at the end to help Ole Miss was an all timer.. you could see it on his face when he did it like he shit his pants.. I posted earlier in this thread the path to win was only if Ole Miss gave us the ball 3 plus times, they did.. If we're being honest we know that both LSU and Ole Miss shot themselves in the foot in both games and then the Swamp did the rest and swallowed them whole. We are in the weirdest position ever, we know our coach is the worst game day coach ever and we can't win unless we have Kirby rosters.. which he'll never get us.. So unless we plan on being Auburn and ruining a few teams seasons in the Swamp while never playing for anything meaningful, well that looks like the best case scenario as long as we're stuck with him.. What happens when we still go 8-4 with Lagway then give him an extension and then we're stuck with Gene Chizik to go 3-9 when Lagway is gone?
Like I said earlier I hope dont have daughters and post what you do. If you do then you are the person I think you are. I might post alot of videos some informative and maybe some not but you will never hear anything deragatory from me with the tone that you use. Get to church early tomorrow and ask for forgiveness and if you dont I will do my part and ask for you.
The only issue with this is, as we saw with Muschamp, you can’t change people philosophically. Billy, even when he was winning the Sunbelt, is a get a lead and hang on guy. Lots of close games.
I think one thing it would help is right now Billy is QBC, OC, HC and has no on-field ST coach and it is obvious that is far more than he can manage mentally during the game.
I compared it to this year F$U, no Travis and they are who their coach is.
Oddest thing of all of this is that these fans who are all in on Billy are only that eay because of his historically terrible first two years. Never thought I would see the day people act like we won a Super Bowl getting to 6-5. All one needs to do is look at the first three series coming out of halftime or the TO that set up Ole Miss.
I’m enjoying the season for where it’s at. We’re in what might end up being a turnaround of this team. The next couple years look good. That in itself is more hope than we’ve had in the last 4 years. There’s no doubt that there’s a big question after Lagway leaves this team but until then, if we’re winning, I’m gonna be happy with what we have. If we end the ball game with an eight and five record recruiting should do pretty decent. If we have a good season next season, there’s no telling what will happen after that. All I can say is that the mood with the team as a whole is totally different than it was four games ago.
I actually live closer to the Celebration Church on Baymeadows but I've been going to the Kingsley location for 20 years and don't plan on leaving soon.
