For those that don't know, MEET Ron DeSantis

Ron DeSantis is the 46th Governor of Florida.
A native Floridian with blue-collar roots, Ron attended Dunedin High School and worked his way through Yale University, where he graduated with honors and was the captain of the varsity baseball team. He also graduated with honors from Harvard Law School. While at Harvard, he earned a commission in the U.S. Navy as a JAG officer. During his active-duty service, Ron deployed to Iraq as an adviser to a U.S. Navy SEAL commander in support of the SEAL mission in Fallujah, Ramadi and the rest of Al Anbar province. His military decorations include the Bronze Star Medal for Meritorious Service (the iG also has that commendation, among others), and the Iraq Campaign Medal.

Ron also served as a federal prosecutor, where he targeted and convicted child predators. He was elected to Congress in 2012 and advocated for congressional term limits and a balanced budget amendment. He also spearheaded oversight efforts to expose malfeasance in the IRS and in agencies involved in abusing their authority during the manufacturing of the Russia collusion conspiracy theory. Congressman DeSantis was also a leading champion for America’s veterans and helped enact reforms to the VA and place an emphasis on mental health.

Ron is married to Casey DeSantis, an Emmy Award winning television host. Together, they’re the proud parents of their daughters, Madison and Mamie, and their son, Mason.

I think that his military service saved him from what most attending those 2 universities eventually turn into....

This week, Governor DeSantis signed the No Patient Left Alone Act that guarantees families the right to visit their loved ones in health care facilities.

“Here in Florida, we recognize that family and human connection is one of the most important aspects of physical, mental, and emotional well-being and we are ensuring Floridians are
never again denied the right to see their relatives and friends while in hospitals or nursing homes.” – Governor Ron DeSantis

I'm an old Bob Martinez guy and you can't help but think DeSantis is the most impressive governor in the country right now. He's just doing an amazing job in every facet of the office.

U.S. Congressman Matt Gaetz of Florida is now rallying his Twitter followers behind DeSantis’ revelation this week that lawmakers are considering working to rescind special protections that Walt Disney World enjoys in the state as the theme park and media giant commits to incorporating more LGBT characters and themes into upcoming productions. “I’m the former Finance & Tax Chairman of the Florida House and I know of what I speak. DMs open for FL legislators,” he added. “I’ll tell you how to trap this rodent.”

“Things that scare Disney: Municipal dissolution, Copyright expiration, Combined reporting,” Gaetz tweeted along with a link to a story about DeSantis’ Thursday remarks.

On FNC this morning...one of them went further...they said most impressive LEADER in the Country. I agree. Can you imagine Spread Eagle trying to debate him? It just would not be fair

There was also either a tweet or a quote from DeSantis on one of the Fox programs last night - I believe it was TC - that said in part “no illegal immigrants better consider coming to Florida, you won’t like the way you’ll be treated”.

Problem is, DeSantis is falling behind Abbott, Abbott has already sent the first buses of illegals to DC, Ron hasn’t sent any to Diaperware or Martha’s Boneyard yet.

The Coast Guard is just that much better in Florida at keeping aliens out of the state when compared to Border Patrol.

Nah. Desantis is miles ahead of Abbott. Abbott isn’t what some might think. He is a poser.

Dropping this here, didn't want to start a new thread, and Ron approves... iG

Dear Fellow American,
The United Nation's "Small Arms Treaty" has been the Gun Control Lobby's crown jewel for decades.
They've been waiting for an anti-gun President, like Joe Biden, to take the White House so they can launch an all-out effort to ratify it in the U.S. Senate.
Now, they think they finally see their opportunity to ram it through!
But you and I have a chance to stop them cold -- as long as we take IMMEDIATE action to help kill this dangerous Treaty by signing your Firearms Sovereignty Survey below.

Thank you for supporting the National Association for Gun Rights' efforts!
For Freedom,

But Who's on First????
😁
=====

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) and Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody (R) announced at the end of March that the Florida was leading 20 states in a multi-state lawsuit against the Biden administration’s mask mandate on public transportation.

“Florida has led the nation in standing up to misguided federal government policies and fighting back against heavy-handed mandates that have no scientific backing,” DeSantis said. “If politicians and celebrities can attend the Super Bowl unmasked, every U.S. citizen should have the right to fly unmasked. It is well past time to get rid of this unnecessary mandate and get back to normal life.

States that joined Florida in its court filing included Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Utah, Virginia, and West Virginia.

Spread Eagle would spend half the debate snapping at him with her trashy attitude default line of "excuse me, Im talking, dont you talk over me and disrespect me".
And the Libs would go crazy thinking how she "slammed" her opponent yet they would hide her actual answer to the question because it would embarrass her.

That's not how they think. If you aren't wearing a mask, you are not bowing down to leftist authority. Their handlers have told them all good little useful idiots will wear the scarlet letter of oppression. Now you are marked as the enemy. The upside of that is, we know from their jersey which team they play for. 😂

Disney Corp -- “Florida’s HB 1557, also incorrectly known to leftists/socialists as the ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill, should never have passed and should never have been signed into law”...

DeSantis -- It turns out that @Disney doesn’t get to write the Florida laws.

Florida Gov DeSantis now pushes to end Disney Corp's self-government.

Florida Gov. DeSantis on Tuesday, April 19, asked the Legislature to repeal a law (the 1968 Reedy Creek Improvement District) allowing Walt Disney World to operate as a private government over its properties in the state, the latest salvo in a feud between the Republic of Florida conservative citizens and the LBGT over-run entertainment/media giant.

iG -- They have been living rent free on their homestead in Florida for the last 54 years. It made some sense way back in 1968, but it's now time for that kind of blatant favoritism to finally come to an end. If they don't like it, then tell Disney Corp to take their sorry pedo butts back to Californication, where they will fit in and be welcomed. They can see what kind of a deal that they can get going there.

Ron DeSantis -- Yesterday, I announced that I am calling on the state legislature to eliminate Disney’s sweetheart deal – negotiated and preserved for decades (since 1967) by the powerful. This deal allows Disney to govern itself on the grounds of Walt Disney World – a benefit not afforded to you or me.

If Disney wants to pick a fight, they chose the wrong guy.

As Governor, I was elected to put the people of Florida first, and I will not allow a woke corporation based in California to run our state.

Disney has gotten away with special deals from the state of Florida for way too long. It took a look under the hood to see what Disney has become to truly understand their inappropriate influence.

Disney thought they ruled Florida. They even tried to attack me to advance their woke agenda. Now, parents see Disney for what it is. And now is the time to put the power back in the hands of Floridians and out of the pockets of woke Disney executives.

Disney and other woke corporations won’t get away with peddling their unchecked pressure campaigns any longer. If we want to keep the Democrat machine and their corporate lapdogs accountable, we have to stand together now.

Great advice from the Sheriff. This reminds me of the great Sheriff of Martin County, William Snyder.
Now you all know where I live...this is a neighboring county. We ALL carry guns around here. I have 4 hid around my house for any person that thinks they want to try to break in...AND my 150 lb Rottie would eat them alive anyway.

A Victory For Freedom

This week, air travel passengers across the country were able to take a collective (and unrestricted) deep breath as a federal judge overturned the Biden Administration’s airline mask mandate!

Last month, Governor DeSantis and Attorney General Ashley Moody sued the Biden Administration over the mask mandate on airplanes and public transportation, and this week freedom prevailed.

“We are very happy that finally we have judicial relief from the unscientific mask mandate on airplanes.” – Governor Ron DeSantis

Freedom Is Winning In Florida

Thanks to the leadership of Governor Ron DeSantis, registered Republican voters now outnumber Democrats by over 100,000 for the first time in Florida’s history.

Floridians are joining the Republican Party because of Governor DeSantis and his freedom agenda. Florida’s First Lady Casey DeSantis said it best.

See the data for yourself:
  • In November 2021, for the first time in Florida history, we celebrated more registered Republicans than Democrats – a HUGE milestone.
  • In March 2022, we realized a +100,000 voter registration advantage.
  • And we’ve now crossed +116,000 more Republicans than Democrats, marking a +250,000 net voter swing from Election Day in 2020.
