I thought this would be fun to post here given the flack I was given by all the non-experts on here.

My team, that I run as the Director, took over an ICU in July 2021 That had a healthy number of Covid patients but not just Covid patients.. That’s one year and five months after the real outbreak of the Covid pandemic.

We also took over the unit right before the largest surge of Covid infections and intensive care unit cases of the pandemic. Again this is not just about Covid but Covid did have an impact on this. That’s why I separate thread.

We compared their mortality rates, vent days, and length of stay in the ICU the year before we took over and the year after we took over the ICU.

I can proudly say that me, and my team, achieved the following:
We lowered the mortality rate by 50%, from 33% down to 17.4%
We lowered the Intensive care unit length of stay from 8.1 days down to 4.5 days
We reduce the ventilator days from 10.1 days to 5.5 days
we lowered the central line and Foley catheter infection rates and utilization by 50%

But what do we know about Covid 🤣🤣🤣

I thought you guys would be proud about this, you’re not happy we achieved such great success? I just got this data a couple of weeks ago and I was very proud of my team and what we did. That equates into at least 150 lives saved in one year. Can we not celebrate that?

Are you really not happy that we save this many lives by doing good work? Honest question.

I don't believe that is why you started this thread. Your first and last lines sort of confirmed it ftr.

Regardless of why I started the thread why would you not be happy with the fact that we say so many lies? I’ll freely admit there’s a little bit of told you so in the original post, regardless of the motivation, we literally saved a minimum of 150 maybe even 200 lives in one years time. Sorry if I’m proud of that, but I really am.

Do I want a couple of these Internet Dr. chucklehead experts to know it, yes I do, we’ve all got a little Petty inside of us.
And I won’t back down

I mean I can’t help if I want to point out that all of these brilliant people telling me over and over again how to treat something they’ve never taken care of in their life now has to look at the fact that my team and I literally saved minimum 150 lives that other doctors were unable to save the year before. Is it wrong for me to want to Baskin that for a few minutes? Up to you guys but the facts are the facts.

You do you. The reasons you left the board, you seem to be pining away for those same conditions.

You won't back down? Will they? If you shouldn’t, should they?

And it boiled down to good care, we had nothing different to use before or after we took the unit over. We just improve the quality of care at the bedside. And we never used a single dose of ivermectin.

Oh I’m just back for a little while. Yeah there’s a little bit of I told you so in this, and that’s petty, and I’m certainly not above character flaws, but when people that know nothing about what you’re an expert in bash you for months sometimes you just gotta come back for a little bit of post hoc reflection.

I’m satisfied, you and the mods can do whatever you want with this one now.
I’m happy to let it go with this.

LOL. Thread going about as expected. The petty little men in the echo chamber are not pleased.

*What about HCQ, the magic cure. "

Never used HCQ or Ivermectin once during that year where we showed such improvement in all outcomes, lol

Sounds desperate AF for attention Quacky. PCPs and specialists all over the state of Florida prescribed Ivermection for covid and got results. Seems they got even better results in other countries where the CDC wasn't trying to prevent that medication. Just so you know, my father was a PCP, got covid, as well as my mother, and took Ivermectin. He immediately got better, and it possibly save my mother's life as well. Both 90 years old, dad vaccinated. My father died of heart failure 7 months after getting jabbed. My mother is still living, didn't get the vaccine. So you can take your BS and shove it up your ass.

I know...I have it. It's kicking my wife's butt at the moment.
Ivermectin and HCQ are still available Bama.

With no masking or distancing (except for a few trips to the VA where it's required), I finally came down with Co-V after 2 years. I knocked it out in 4 days with Ivermectin and HCQ, and it also took care of a nasty ear infection that I'd acquired at the same time.

That, or you can quack your way to the nearest ICU hostage tank....

We're good. The wife stayed in bed for two days and she's 100% now. It never really bothered me beyond a few body aches and the sniffles.

Reminds me of a scene from MASH:

Frank: "I've never had any complaints from my patients! Just ask them!"

Hawkeye: "We can't dig up people just for that..."

Now I see why he HAD to leave this site. This is the MOST I have EVER seen someone stand directly on their pekkar on their own without outside interference! What a QUACK!!!! And GLOATED about it! I almost feel the need to know who he is so I NEVER make the mistake of letting him "practice" on me!
Methinks avoid any MedPlus next to a strip mall.

No, I actually thought about this POS who started this thread...and it angered me today. He came on hee THINKING he was SO MUCH smarter than EVERYONE else, and did the usual talking down to everyone....bumped the thread to rub it in...and guess what...he was 100% WRONG about everything. Moral of the story...just because you went to school for 7 years and have a licence to PRACTICE medicine...does not guarantee you are smart. There are BAD doctors...just like there are bad policemen, and bad military people. I would not let 1776 trim my toenails.

He was quite happy to tell us on multiple occasions how he worked for several of the lowest ranked medical systems in the nation.

I read this the other day and until it sank in a bit, I just let it go. But as I was driving today, it popped in my mind...and I got PISSED. 1. HE WAS 100% WRONG. 2. He was talking down to anyone that had a different opinion...and WRONG 3. He came back to gloat, and rub it in...and was WRONG. People like him have NO CLUE how much doubt they put in people who look to them for answers about things we do not know much about. Again...I would not let the POS cut my toe nails. He OBVIOUSLY has NO CLUE about being a doctor. And lastly...how many doctors worth a chit have time to post on message boards? THIS is where we should have figured it out very early!

I think he just said whatever he thought would get the most people paying attention to him.

I had forgotten how much the good doctor saving lives bothered some people. Especially Capt. Ron for some reason.

Sad, really.
