NIL is making HC less desirable; especially for the older coaches. As OC.
This is a weird trend to go from HC to OC (Chip Kelly).

Perhaps, but he would ve walking away from a lot of money - HC vs OC payI wonder if he just wanted to get out a year early like Kelly did.
But when you are already a multi millionaire, does it matter?Perhaps, but he would ve walking away from a lot of money - HC vs OC pay
It's not like Malzahn was getting a better gig as a head coach, just like Chip Kelly. But when you are already a multi millionaire, does it matter?
It might be tine for Day to fire Chip Kelly.I wonder if he just wanted to get out a year early like Kelly did.
Fire them both, neither is gonna beat Michigan who was 6-5 before todays gameIt might be tine for Day to fire Chip Kelly
Your boy lost to a 6-5 team, and a 4-8 team.Fire them both, neither is gonna beat Michigan who was friggin 6-5 before todays game
That depends...is he married? But when you are already a multi millionaire, does it matter?

I really wonder if Malzahn thinks this is a way to back-door into the FSU head coaching job.Not a big fan of the Malzahn as OC at this point with what he runs. If FSU doesn't get lucky in the portal with players they might struggle with his stuff.
Malzahn made Bo Nix look like a garbage QB. Suddenly he became a far better QB under a defensive minded coach at Oregon. Not a big fan of the Malzahn as OC at this point with what he runs. If FSU doesn't get lucky in the portal with players they might struggle with his stuff.
Yeah why make millions of guaranteed money!NIL is making HC less desirable; especially for the older coaches.
I believe that is true, but I don't understand why. Did they like it better when alumni were sneaking around, greasing players' palms, and they lived in constant fear of the NCAA hammer? This is just the same, except no more sneaking and no more hammer.NIL is making HC less desirable; especially for the older coaches.
Maybe they did. Saban all but said it's why he retired.I believe that is true, but I don't understand why. All I can think is that they don't like no longer being able to go to boosters and say "The NCAA plays favorites, we can't catch Bammer and the Dwags (and LSU and Ohio State) as long as they are allowed to buy players and we aren't". It's a lot harder to say "you stingy so and so's want to win, you got to pony up some more cash". That message isn't really going to go over well with boosters. Other than that, no clue.
It's like the wild west these days. Get a gun and practice your draw, it'll be high noon soon.
It could be interesting to see Frost return, or they lean more towards Mullen, which I doubt he's interested. Frost could very well win them another "national championship."
Don't think it's not being discussed behind closed doors. If you fire Norvell, you'll have a pretty great interim...and I really like the DC hire.Mullen should go to UNC. That's his type of program, not the pressure of winning NC each yr.
Malzahn to fsu as OC is OK I guess, I'd laugh so hard if they fire norvell and upgrade Malzahn lol

Doesn't Malzahn run the spread offense, with an emphasis on running and getting QBs killed? Unless Norvell finds a Cam Newton under a rock somewhere, I don't see this working out well. Malzahn is a decent OC, terrible head corch. I'm just glad Stricklin didn't do this to us, otherwise, we'd have another January 6th on our hands next year. 😂Don't think it's not being discussed behind closed doors. The Nebraska DC. He also served as the DC at Syracuse. I think he's a good hire. Now he's also interviewed for a few head coaching jobs.Who did they hire?
But that great interim is not Malzahn. As I mentioned earlier, Tony White will eventually get a HC gig sooner rather than later.Don't think it's not being discussed behind closed doors. If you fire Norvell, you'll have a pretty great interim...and I really like the DC hire.
I will rofl if this guy takes a HC job after the season ends. The Nebraska DC. He also served as the DC at Syracuse. I think he's a good hire. Now he's also interviewed for a few head coaching jobs.
That guy caught lightning in a bottle with Cam Newton as his quarterback. He hasn’t done anything since then.Malzahn made Bo Nix look like a garbage QB. Suddenly he became a far better QB under a defensive minded coach at Oregon.
He did the same a couple of years later with Nick Marshall. Lost the Natty to Winston and the nollies in ‘13.That guy caught lightning in a bottle with Cam Newton as his quarterback. He hasn’t done anything since then.
Wow. That's like welcoming home the old girl friend who you caught red handed in a gang bang in your bedroom. 😂
Can sadgator have her number? Just asking for a friend…Wow. That's like welcoming home the old girl friend who you caught red handed in a gang bang in your bedroom. 😂
Isn't he a disciple of the spread offense? Seriously, running that exclusively only works when your guys are better than the other guys. And you need a bulletproof, non injury prone QB or two as well. That guy caught lightning in a bottle with Cam Newton as his quarterback. He hasn’t done anything since then.
