Biden HAS said he wants to optimize mental health in conjunction with policing, but he has at no point said he wants to "defund" or "abolish" the police, which is why trump looked so befuddled when it turned out that wallace caught him in a lie. He wasn't expecting to be held accountable by state tv.

Frankly, I'm a bit surprised that trump does NOT want to defund the police! Considering all his shady dealings, bragging about sexual assault, etc, you would think the last thing he would want is to have more police around. Go figure!

He's said he wants to DIVERT funds from the police.

That's defunding. It might fool the sheep that will vote for him, but it doesn't fool the rest of us.

Here’s the likely skinny; someone in the content department of that ad agency is a Dem, who purposely grabbed a 6 year old clip instead of others readily current, nobody caught it, and he tipped another anti-Trumper the tidbit when the commercial released - that’s my impression

I get gigging Trump for stupid schit he says/does.....which are legion. But that issue is something I can’t see him being an “idiot “ about - you have to trust your consultants and production people, or you’re a crappy exec.

Don’tcha think the fact it was a protest of all places in the Ukraine isnt a bit fishy ????

Seemingly, as with most issues raised on this board, we will have to agree to disagree. I don't fault you for that, reasonable people can have differing points of view.

But I think that in this specific instance, there is no real grey area. trump was caught in a lie--he specifically stated that Biden wanted to "defund" the police, and also went a step further and said Biden wanted to "abolish" the police. Even if we want to quibble about defund vs divert, there is no ambiguity about what abolish means. trump lied, was called on it, and looked completely confused and out of sorts. If you can find any evidence that Biden has said he wants to ABOLISH the police forces of America, please do tell. Otherwise, I daresay you would have to concede that either: a) trump lied or b) he can't remember his opponent's platform issues. Do you disagree?

And with regards to what's juvenile, where is your righteous indignation with the thread regarding Biden's mental capacity, where there is a poll asking "What percent of Joe’s brain actually still gets oxygen?". Is that elevating the level of discourse around here?
 
Over 140,000 Americans dead due to coronavirus. Let that sink in....that's nearly 2 stadiums worth of fans at the swamp who have passed away under the faltering watch of the trump administration. How many lives could have been saved if not for trump's gross mismanagement of the situation? He owns the catastrophic results of his shambolic response to the pandemic.

Agree, abolish went too far. I've said many times that Trump says stupid shit. However, defend is an accurate description based on what Biden has said.

Also, I didn't vote in the Biden/oxygen poll. And no, I don't think that thread raised the level of discourse on this board. There are MANY comments that fail in that regard and I have no intention of addressing each one.

Do you honestly believe that Biden, or any Dem, would have prevented similar if not identical results? Are you positive that we wouldn't have more dead? I'm not...but maybe they could have killed the entire economy and prevented a small percentage.

Remember, Trump was being "xenophobic" when he shut down travel to and from China according to Biden.

I literally copied that entire post from another thread. No, I don’t believe he is an idiot for signing off on a fake video but there are plenty of other things that qualify him for that honor.
 
I've yet to see anyone post the number of dead that used any of the 3 CoV cures I've listed.

Put an answer to that question up and then I'll be impressed by the death rates listed.

Until then, the Communist Red Chinese Kung Flu hoax continues unabated... o_O

And let all of us know when at least half of the pro athletes in the NFL, NBA, NHL, and MLB, along with the coaches and staff, oh and well known celebrities and other well known popular figures start dying of the Kung Flu virus, then I will live in fear. Just wondering why so many people I mentioned above haven't succumbed to the Kung Flu virus back in March, April and May.
