My oldest is a senior and we have gone to 4 different colleges' open house, here in the Maryland/DC area and all of them take the "holistic" approach to admissions, placing more weight on various different "aspects" of the student and not relying on grades as much and not requiring test scores. The ABA just decided that the LSAT should not be required for entrance to law school.

Colleges were doing such things 25 years ago. Giving weight to to things such as community service were very common. I'm sure though admissions can be more arbitrary than I'd ever imagine

I would venture a guess that most of them work for the VA or at doc in the box franchises.
