I've never liked that guy. But that goes back to Spurrier vs Syracuse. That was an embarrassment.
Yep that is one of the games that sticks in my mind. Just like 95 Nebraska and that final Spurrier Tennessee game we couldn't stop the run at all.
I will say it again Dan Mullen isnt the issue, GRANTHAM was the issue. The only thing Dan needs to do is be a head coach, hire a true offensive coordinator that calls plays and turn over the play calling to him then Dan needs to be a head coach. Calling plays and trying to be head coach isn't working.

If the claims in that article are accurate then Grantham had became a cancer to this team. Would explain the players answers to questions and the lack of effort. Curious to see the rush defense against Mizzu and FSU now that he is gone.
Having Grantham for 2 more seasons falls on Mullen, and I'm sure he only brought 3rd & Grantham back as a "I told you so" if he had miraculously turned the defense around, but Mullen's decision did nothing but blow up in his face.
In other(related) news, Tony Grantham, DC at The Citadel and younger brother of Todd, had given up 35 points to Samford. And who exactly is UF's next opponent?
Samford has one of the best offenses in FCS but has the worst total defense in FCS I think.

His 2020 defense was the worst at Florida since the 0-10-1 1979 team and surrendered more points per game (30.8) than any Florida defense since 1917.
Oh what "could have been" last year, had the defense had a pulse. Though it falls on Mullin's shoulders ultimately, with a change at DC I see more than just a glimmer of hope. Sad that it took missed natty and a completely ruined 2021 season to right the ship.

The UAA should closely monitor what's being said on social media, and then closely follow all of the combined advice on everything that's sports related...

This all falls on Mullen. Now if this were Bob Stoops, I'd give him a pass.

Surprised how much leeway they have given these recruiting site writers to go after Mullen. They even allowed it to start after the LSU loss.

I don't want Mullen gone, that would set back the program another 5 years. I think we agree? Mullen needs to learn loyalty to less than worthy souls is not good for his. That's why I love me some Steve Spurrier. You don't perform? Hit the bench boy. I just wish SOS had fired Hoke and stayed on as head ball coach instead of trying the NFL. I really think we'd have at least the same number of nattys or maybe even more. It was truly a Camelot period when he was raping UGA's asshole. š¤©
