It is immediate. Wesley McGriff will take over DC duties. It is a year too late IMO but better late than never. I believe more changes are coming and Mullen isn’t out of the woods yet either.

My only concern is who can he get being on such a hot seat?

Yes that is the concern. I don’t think Mullen is safe yet to be honest. This will be it for now as you still have to have a staff to finish out the season. There are some people that think that Mullen is going to buckle and call it quits like a few of our other coaches have done in the past. My only thought is I don’t just see him walking away from $7.5M. As for the ESD that certainly makes things interesting however Hevesy and Grantham are terrible recruiters so those 2 aren’t going to be a loss on the recruiting front either.
If Mullen sticks around I expect an entirely new defensive staff with the exception of McGriff staying on. Also to your point this should of been done last year with these two. The concern is now it may be too late.
if you buy him out, you better have a plan. If you can get Lane in here, sure, do it. But don’t bring in another Mac where you think you are out smarting people.

It is embarrassing for USCe because nobody finds it acceptable to lose to them since they are a SEC East bottom feeder (except when they had Spurrier).
I might occasionally get embarrassed when I screw something up (I usually try to just laugh at myself and move on), but I generally LMFAO when someone else gets embarrassed over something of little consequence...

Zac Alley seems to fit your preference. It would be a slight risk since he's at lousiana Monroe....and he just got hired there....but they are only paying him about $100,000 a year.

I am still waiting for NYCapple to let us know what the big dogs at church are saying about Mullen's status.
A Bulldog linked at the hip with Grantham but it wouldn't surprise me if he is promoted if it goes alright. No top coordinator would come here I would think with Mullen's seat being that hot

Unlike VT and Nebraska, Dan Mullen was not at the top of UF admins list. Fuente and Frost were the top choices at their schools.
