Walking into next season with either Werner or two true freshmen as your backup is a bold and wild decision…especially if you’re wanting Lagway to run. Go get some rando portal QB that is older.
Not understating the high school QB take? Disappointing we are losing the key guys needed to field a good team in 2025.
This situation goes back and forth - but I just don't see how they can keep them all...Banks imo could influence some of the other guys on that DL Front though
Very hard for me to believe "multiple" players on that list will enter the portal. Just my opinion.
Ok...I read it a couple of times....
Theoretically, you can't have a player named a "starter" who gets fewer reps than the two players behind him. You can't have said "starter" with the same reps as the No. 2 & No. 3 guys combined, yet he has more tackles than those combined. You can't have those 2 & 3 guys making more money than said starter. You can't do that; if you do, you are setting yourself up for disaster, and unfortunately, unless things change in a hurry, multiple players will head to the portal.
2nd sentence has a typo or mistake somewhere, right?

This screams Shemar, hope he stays. But I also think we have some talent there
really you dont understand they need depth? If you name a portal QB that is ok with being a backup do you think he has high value? let me answer that for you, no.
My guesses are Shemar, searcy, Jakobi jackson
Banks is staying, you can cross him off that list.
He’d have more COLLEGE experience. Better than some rando high school kid with bad offers.
I have no inside information, but Shemar James was on my list of potential transfers. Graham and Chiles in the game together late in the 4th quarter against LSU and Ole Miss spoke volumes to me. Howard, Robinson, Graham, and Chiles all played a lot at LB, and I could see James transferring for his final season of eligibility. If we are going to lose multiple from that list James and Moore would be the least impactful losses (Moore can’t stay on the field). Any of the others would be a tough loss.
The NCAA has screwed this thing up worse than anyone could imagine…
sounded like Pyburn to me, but the second sentence states more reps but then suggests there are more tackles in less reps. confused.
Right lol it will but I am not giving you my opinion when I tell you three have said they are gone...
yes less or equal reps combined as the 2 and 3 guy BUT more tackles...how does that make sense - it does not it only means you are playing the wrong guys
Sad that just about the time we appear to be knocking on the door we stand to lose key players. So, this would suggest that unless we swap out for similar talent from the portal we go backwards. Man, I never thought I would question my passion for college football but I definitely have a shelf life for continuing following this sport as currently constructed.

Why aren’t they going after Bryce Baker. Seems he has interest in others besides UNC now, and he and UF had mutual interest earlier on, correct?
Pyburn would shock me, dude is a Gator through and through. But never know these days! He’s the one I want to keep the most. Would be a huge blow if he leaves

Is there a list of how much individual players make? Like how we know pro athlete contracts. How Billy spends his budget on players is a valid way of judging his job performance just like how much of his assistant coach budget goes to whom, who gets playing time, who gets a scholarship offer or a roster spot etc…
Many posters question if we spend enough. I question if Billy spends what we have wisely.

I am not sure giving more reps makes it much better though. They need to be able to pay the guys that are producing.
Pyburn should play more and be paid as a impact player same as trey, Sapp, lagway,baugh, gates ,banks and Slaughter. I think Hansen should be featured more in the future, Castell is decent i feel he not as gooold as we hope for but he is above average. Graham is should start next year i think time for James to move on through draft or transfer, think search is good but he can leave also if he wante to be a stater
That sentence is talking about James. He has 59 tackles while Myles has 28. MG also was a 5 star that had a high NIL
Wouldn't surprise me at all.... Good young talent at several of those positions to negate older players leaving.
If we are gonna lose 3 off that list, Searcy, James, and Castell id be okay with. Plus I think those 3 are likely to have their playing time cut into any way.
i hope you are correct. Pyburn had 60 tackles and Searcy had 34
1. He’s a guy you can probably get.
2. He’s good enough to be your 3rd qb.
3. He is teammates with two big time 2026 prospects. One of which he was throwing to every day. Bolles also has a big time TE prospect that is a 2028 kid I believe.
4. It’s good to have Jacksonville kids on the roster.
Sometimes you have to look past the offer list.

Make's sense TBH. At LB, DL and RB. BN just has to decide which guys at those positions make the most sense to hold onto strategically. I'm sure we all have our own opinions on who should stay or go out of that group.
I agree. Pyburn would be the biggest blow because he grew up a Gator fan. If you can’t keep guys like that around, this sport is in trouble. IF he’s one of the guys that wants to leave, I hope he changes his mind.
