“How Ron DeSantis Blew Up Black-Held Congressional Districts and May Have Broken Florida Law”

Popular vote totals since 2000 don't support your belief

Hopefully the GOP will find some better "young guns" than they did last time

LOL. After years of jailbird Corrine Brown's serpent shaped district, you have the gall to bring your bullshit to this topic? 😂 😂 😂

We will control the house but barely. Epic disappointment. Where did it go wrong?
my thoughts…..
1) Abortion, seems like it kills more than a fetus. We gifted the core of the democratic party a bellwether get out the vote issue. And they took full advantage.

2) Trump, found a way to make this election all about him even though he wasn’t on a single ballot anywhere. He peaked in 2019, he’s now a polarizing liability.

3) Overconfidence, The last four weeks before the election all I heard about was the massive roadway that was going to sweep through politics. That, coupled with continued crappy polling, lead to a cocky overconfident GOP that got their butts kicked. They spent way too many resources keeping Ohio red because of a Trump backed nut job diverting those resources in places where they might’ve actually made a difference, Nevada, New Hampshire, Arizona.

4) Message, The Republicans need a message. Their message has been we’re not communist, we’re not socialist, we’re not Biden, vote for us. It’s not enough just to be angry and tweet about it and create funny names for people. It’s about a message on how you’re going to fix the economy, fix the border, fix national defense. I never heard much of a message from the Republicans outside that contract which never got much play.
In places where Republicans behaved like Republicans and governed like Republicans for the last two years or longer, such as Florida, we mopped up the floor with the Democrats. Results matter.

5) Democrats, they are masters of politics. They got the right people out to campaign, they had Joe Biden in places where he could do no damage, they played the rope a dope masterfully and, given the expectations, TKO of the republican party.

Worst economy in 50 years, zero reason they should’ve won the elections that they won, and yet they still did. Until the Republicans learn how to beat the Democrats, until the Republicans walk away from the toxic rhetoric of Donald Trump and move towards a positive unifying one America message, the Democrats will take advantage of it.
————————

2016 was a beautiful anomaly, people voted against Hillary as much as they did for Trump and they voted for change. That’s what it needs to be about again, not Donald Trump, but changing and saving America.

My two cents for what it’s worth.
You need to wash your hands, wash out your mouth with soap, and don a mask.
This belongs here!

By Wayne Allyn Root

When something is so obvious, if the outcome makes no sense, if the outcome is literally impossible, then it is what it is. Forget “proof.” You know it. You saw it. You felt it. You experienced it. It happened. It’s real.

The 2022 midterm was just stolen. Just like 2020.

If you disagree, you’re either delusional, or terribly naïve, or brain dead. Or you’re in on the fix.

It’s time to admit we’re all part of a massive experiment in fraud, theft, brainwashing, and gaslighting to a degree never seen in world history.

Think of all the times in just the past few years you’ve been gaslighted. They lied to you about open borders…they lied about Hillary’s 30,000 deleted emails…they lied about spying on Trump…they lied about Russian Collusion…they lied about a perfectly fine Ukrainian phone call…they lied about massive Biden corruption in Ukraine and China… they lied about the Hunter Biden laptop they lied about the origins of Covid…they lied about the need for lockdowns and masks…they lied about the need for Covid vaccines…they lied about the vaccines being “safe and effective”…they lied and covered up all the deaths and injuries from the vaccine…they lied about the success of miracle drugs Hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin…they lied about the stolen 2020 election…

How Ron DeSantis Blew Up Black-Held Congressional Districts and May Have Broken Florida Law
by Joshua Kaplan
Oct. 11, 6 a.m. EDT

DeSantis threw out the legislature’s work and redrew Florida’s congressional districts, making them far more favorable to Republicans. The plan was so aggressive that the Republican-controlled legislature balked and fought DeSantis for months. The governor overruled lawmakers and pushed his map through.

DeSantis' office has publicly stressed that partisan considerations played no role and that partisan operatives were not involved in the new map.

A ProPublica examination of how that map was drawn — and who helped decide its new boundaries — reveals a much different origin story. The new details show that the governor’s office appears to have misled the public and the state legislature and may also have violated Florida law.

DeSantis aides worked behind the scenes with an attorney who serves as the national GOP’s top redistricting lawyer and other consultants tied to the national party apparatus, according to records and interviews.

Florida’s constitution was amended in 2010 to prohibit partisan-driven redistricting, a landmark effort in the growing movement to end gerrymandering as an inescapable feature of American politics.

Nothing to hide? 😎

DeSantis seeks to shield redistricting documents
Requested records range from communications related to the anti-gerrymandering constitutional amendment voters passed in 2010 to communications with U.S. House party leaders.

The GOP lost because more Americans do not think like them or believe them

Pssst...maybe they would improve their lot by actually have some solutions to the issues they love to complain about?
And they still don’t and never will
Anyone know what the republican solution is to inflation? Crime? Abortion? Healthcare? Infrastructure?

The election is over and most Americans have no clue what the GOP was going to do about any of it
No and they never will, it’s all humma humma all talk no walk

That gerry mandering bullshit is a double edged sword. How do you like it when the tables are turned? 😂 After years of willy nilly, psychedelic Hunter Biden drawings, districts got back to normal. Can I get you a tissue? Now maybe you'll understand how voter fraud works. It will come back to bite you square in the ass.

DeSantis admitted he drew up that map based on the SCOTUS decision allowing racial gerrymandering

So the maps they came up with were ones that they believe complied with state and federal law and would withstand court challenges. But Governor Ron DeSantis didn't like them. He says the law has changed over the last decade because of court decisions that have weakened the Federal Voting Rights Act, and he wants the maps to reflect that.

Outside of not knowing what you're talking about DeSantis likely broke Florida law and the maps he created is illegal

Solution:
GOP legislatures like PA Az and Ga need to restrict early voting to one week. Do it two weeks before the election.
Absentee must go back to preCovid rules
Photo IDs
All Early and absentee must be counted by Friday before election day.
Stuff found after that gets tossed
Election day counts must be done by midnight.
No dropboxes

Early, in person voting with ID is fine. 10 days is plenty, cut off early voting a couple of days prior to the election. ALL of those votes are tabulated and ready for publication as soon as the polls close. NO mail in voting without exceptions granted and approved by the supervisor of elections, exceptions granted for the disabled, out of state residents and military. Mail votes should be tabulated and counted upon receipt but not released for publication prior to polls closing. Mailed votes must be received by the day prior to the election, or they are shredded.

This shit's not rocket science. It's up to the individual states to clean up their diapers. Those who do not, should be sued by states who follow reasonable procedures (in national elections) because it affects the entire country. We have states being run like banana republics, but the federal government needs to stay out of it because A) Muh Constitution and B) everything the feds touch turns to shit.

I have never voted for a pro-abortion candidate as far as I know. Its always been a deal breaker for me. If we lost any race due to abortion then I am fine with that. I do not intend to vote for compromise on killing babies or to cater to people who think it is ok. It took us 50 years to overturn the murdering of these babies. Maybe it will take a few more years for us to educate the populace and bring enough of them around. Meanwhile the next fight to bring to SCOTUS will be to acknowledge the person-hood of the child at conception. At that point they have a right to life under the law. The smart play is to wait until a pub is in the WH again to insulate SCOTUS and to give it time to sink in and be accepted.

My wife leaned pro-choice before we were married. She is solid pro-life. I had a pro-choice friend in college who I literally brought to tears and was shaking when we debated abortion. She is now a staunch pro-life advocate. So much so she now puts me to shame.

People need to be educated not catered to on this issue. Can we change all minds? No but I believe we can change enough.

I guess spamming the board with the same worthless tweet will make it make more sense? 🤣

Take a break from this tweet and post some more Trafalgar predictions for the 2022 midterms...they're funny

Since 2016 they've gotten both midterms and the one general election WRONG

Which basically proves they're noting but a conservative disinformation operative

No not a "moral" victory...a fact

You know unlike what conservatives were trying to spin that the economy was going to hell and a red wave was coming

If you're doing poorly in this economy...that's on YOU

Celebrating that it's the worst economy in 40 years rather than the worst in 50 years is absolutely a moral victory. LOL...can't believe that I had to type this.

I'm doing fine in this economy. The lower class is not...you know, the people your party claim to champion? Yea...they're hurting. I'll wait here while you tell them "it's on them."

No but does it really matter?

"In your face you stupid libs" is fun but gets old when the republicans can't take care of business.

Nothing about my post had anything to do with "in your face you stupid libs."

I was making the point that their ratings were hurting because the people who typically consume their product are unhappy with the product.

If you took that as an insult to you, them or libs in general, that has nothing to do with me.

Maybe I wasn't clear.

It's like your #1 rival shoots themselves in the foot over and over. They lose players. They get arrested. They do stupid stuff and you mock them all during the year.

Then comes the game and your team is a 20 point favorite.

Then you lose.

That's all I'm saying. Mocking "go woke go broke" gets tiresome when it only results in disappointment.

I'm in no way defending liberal media. I hope they do go broke.

There goes any credibility you THINK you have and allows the rest of us to dismiss everything you post. You can’t be taken seriously.

No its simply not the worst economy in 40 or 50 years....

I know its tough to fathom after being brainwashed by the political operatives for the last year but you're gonna have to get deprogrammed

Please present something other than your opinion its the worst economy in 40/50 years?

How about starting with GDP?

Biden has been in office for 7 quarters...Is this the worst 7 quarters of GDP in the last 40/50 years?

No. Not even close.

So repeating MAGA world talking points with no knowledge of what you're saying ...

Isn't really saying anything worthwhile at all

I own a variety of small business and, despite your claim above, I generate an income. My wife, my children and I are quite blessed.

I'm a LEO because I want to give back and because I've always wanted to be a cop. We absolutely could not survive on that salary, however. LOL

Howard Rollins died from aids. But the other guy isn't O'Conner's son.
Just looked it up on Wikiphilia. No surprise this info is not on his bio. They only mention lymphoma related.
I don't know why I get the dude pictured confused with Archie Bunker's adopted son.

I didn't know Alan Autry is a former NFL player.

Howard Ellsworth Rollins Jr.
In the fall of 1996, Rollins was diagnosed with AIDS. Six weeks later, he died at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital in New York at the age of 46, from complications from lymphoma.

One of the last photos I saw of him (years ago) was wearing an African tutu holding hands with his boyfriend. That's been scrubbed off the internet.
