Hey everyone, @Corey Bender asked me to post some guidelines for The Lounge going forward:

1 - Please be respectful of your fellow posters at all times. Personal attacks will not be tolerated.

2 - If you disagree with a poster, there is no reason to be disagreeable. Civility wins the day around here.

3 - Admittedly, some topics can get pretty heated. If so, I refer you to #1 and #2 above.

4 - Outrageous commentary, inflammatory content and purposely obtuse takes will be deleted. Repeat offenders will be dealt with.

5 - Most importantly, have fun and play nice ...

Whoever it was, was deleting threads about new social media platforms being started by Trump. Then deleted the thread I started that said “LOL 10 minutes.” There was zero inflammatory content in those threads. The deleted has to be dizzy from this much spin.

Without a doubt some of the most friendly (and humorous) threads in the past couple of months. It's pretty bad when opposition forces agree in unity a collective WTF? Attempts like that only affirm that censorship is coming and it even alarmed some of our left side of the aisle friends. I'd like an explanation.

Hey fresn. Everything on this board was fine and everybody tolerated each other fairly well. It wasn’t till the last few days that things started to get zapped and people started to get their feelings hurt. I brought most of my content over here at the request of Cory because this was supposed to be more of a free space. We’re all looking for a new outlet because we’re getting a little tired of being censored. When and if we find one most of us will be leaving for there. No offense meant to anybody but we’re getting a little tired of being censored just for expressing our views. And yes that is what has been happening over here the last few days.

Sounded good till I read this. For instance, saying Trump will be President for another 4 years can sound completely reasonable or completely inflammatory, largely based on simply your political leanings.

I would definitely reword this one, or delete. Waaaaaay too much grey area here.

What is remaining of my threads is a fraction of what I started. It wasn’t until I openly mocked the censorship did it slow down/stop.

Oh I’m sure you’re not the one doing it but threads are getting zapped for no reason in the Gator lounge, the entire thread not an offensive pose, for no reason. Clearly it’s time for us to find a new place and when we do I for one I’m going cancel my Subscription because it seems like a small minority vocal group of people are forcing their censorship views on the rest of us and Coreys got to make a choice between losing a few of them are losing most of us.

That's fair. The thinking here was along the lines of the response to the query, "What constitutes pornography"? The response was "we'll know it when we see it". I hope that common sense rules the day moving forward ...

It's clear he's not the culprit but he can be the messenger. Somebody up the ladder (or down it) needs a good ass chewing.

@FresnoGator Is a great guy and an old friend. He’s extremely fair and only trying to help out. It’s probably more of a headache for him than anything else. He’ll convey this on to the appropriate people and in the end will have to decide what’s best for each of us. But he’s a cool guy. A good guy.

Hi, I’m new here. My name is Fatman and I like long walks and bourbon on the rocks. I dislike bad breath and overly salted food.

Part that bugs me is we’re in a massive purge of one viewpoint across several platforms. Then literally as that’s happening threads get nuked talking about the creation of a platform that is more independent.

It was almost too on point, and a little out of character for this board...which in my short time here has been pretty free of heavy handed oversight.
