Trump was in charge during the pandemic, therefore he gets the blame. Same with Biden for inflation, even though he had nothing to do with Chinese supply disruptions or the fact the oil industry was in tatters when he took over.

That’s just the way it works. You can’t make excuses for one and not the other.
I'll buy the first example, but not the second. Biden's war on energy caused lack of consumer confidence, which inflated gas prices and inflation.

Gas prices aren’t based on consumer confidence, but current supply and demand. Biden’s threats against the industry, which he has since backed off from, would have impacted future gas prices, not current ones. If anything, Trump impacted it even more by getting OPEC to cut supply by 20%, which it still hasn’t recovered from.

You're right, gas prices aren't predicated on consumer prices. But the worth of a barrel of oil is.

OPEC didn't cut production til April 2020. At the time, the Keystone pipeline was going to more than cover this deficit. Plus, this was a calculated move to jumpstart the Texas oil industry. And it worked sorta, oil prices jumped 25% after they did that.

If you want to blame Trump for lacking the foresight to see that if he lost the election Keystone pipeline would almost assuredly be cut off, then you get partial credit.

Keystone wouldn’t have supplied the US market for several years. And no, even when completed, it pales in comparison to the OPEC cuts. As you know, the price of a barrel of oil, and therefore gasoline, isn’t based solely on US supply (or Canadian as in the case of Keystone).

I want full credit.

Before you get full credit, you have to account for Texas.

Fixed it…..

With all the ESG bullshit that’s been going on, encouraged by Biden even before he took office, oil and gas producers have become hesitant to spend billions of dollars on multi-year projects to bring additional supplies on line.

Biden’s recent pledge to consider curbing ozone emissions in the Permian Basin is the latest example of disincentivizing production. Then the dumbass wonders why gas prices are so high.

ESG started before Biden.

Can we all just accept that Hunter is a tool and move on.
No...not when he is selling access to our government and helping his family get rich because of it. No...I will never leave that alone. Secondly, it is quite fun to rub a REAL POS in all of your faces, so you may know what one really is.

How did he back off? Is he opening the Gulf for drilling? Did he cut some regulations that went unreported? Is he going to re establish Trumps policies, that had us energy independent? I must have missed all of this in the news?

Yep, he’s proposed additional lease leases in the Gulf, which has angered many environmentalists. He’s also expanded drilling permits. Try to keep up.

We’ve never been energy independent.

Report: Biden Administration Considering Pulling Health Care from Veterans to Treat Illegal Aliens = FJB

Did you, or a family member, serve your country with the expectation of receiving the health care benefits you were promised?

Sorry, illegal aliens apparently come first in President Joe Biden’s America.

The Biden administration reportedly is considering diverting doctors from the Department of Veterans Affairs to treat the massive inflow of illegal aliens expected at the southern border this spring and summer.

Hillary Vaughn of Fox Business reported on the insulting slight to American veterans on Thursday, citing a source with U.S. Customs and Border Protection. She quoted the source as saying, “We’re going to take medical services away from people that really deserve that. Who went to combat … to give free medical attention to illegal migrants.” 😡

Use the below link for the rest of the story....
(Trump over-hauled the VA making it much better, while FJB wants to screw us)

That’s a fact.

And your BDS is amusing.

The Biden administration released a five-year plan on Friday that would block all new offshore oil drilling in the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, while allowing some drilling in the Gulf of Mexico and the south coast of Alaska.
The proposed plan, which has not been finalized, could allow up to 11 lease sales over the next five years. It also includes an option for the administration to conduct no sales.

Didn't he simultaneously ban other offshore leases?

Serious question...saw a headline about this but didn't have time to read it.
The 2022 lease sale, which he supported, was cancelled because they couldn’t get a judges approval.

You realize that drilling offshore drilling in the Atlantic and Pacific is already blocked, don’t you? I don’t see Trump or DeSantis proposing drilling offshore Florida, do you? That would be the end of their political careers. I’d love to see Biden propose drilling offshore Florida just to see how DeSantis would react.

PS. No of this impacts current gas prices.

You are stupid, so I will not argue with you...because you will beat me with "stupid experience". However.....with the people YOU voted for also made gas this high, and the guy I voted for...kept it very low. So you can go in your corner and continue to be stupid...but Brandon IS the cause of America's problems today...or MAYBE you would like to explain why he has THE LOWEST approval ratings in recorded history?

No I didn't. I'm not sure I believe that. It's blocked within a certain distance of the coast but I'd be very surprised if you couldn't drill in both oceans, within the American Exclusive Economic Zones (200 nautical miles off the coastline).

Something like 7 miles offshore up to 200 miles I think.

Yep, and that doesn’t make us energy independent, nor does that impact world oil prices which are priced on the world market. I can explain it, but I can’t make you understand.

Net energy independent, so yea...it sort of does.

I never claimed that it would impact the price of oil on the world market, strawman.

Oh my

Biden Faces Open Rebellion From His Own Party

The funny part of that is this, the Rats think that it's Brandon not showing energy or action, when in reality it's that ALL OF THE PROGRESSIVE SOCIALIST RATS AGENDA IS UN-AMERICAN, and the old silent majority is now on the point of being so pissed off, that a full scale revolutions to oust these traitors is getting close to happening...

The November elections might be all that can save us from that terrible course of action from happening....

We will need a big enough turnover in the Congress so that they can over-ride any Brandon veto's on what need to be passed to correct this disaster that's occurring daily.

Black Americans are bailing the Marxist Party. Really important to black Americans? They want to fill their gas tanks. Legions of them cannot.

Brandon's war on Oil & Gas harms many, many Americans. Fox Business tells me many, many barrels of US petroleum is on it's way to Hunter's pals in China.

Sort of, but doesn’t, since our refineries still needed imported oil. You jumped in to help Sunny and are wrong. We aren’t energy independent and never have been. That’s just a trite phrase.

Now you could say, for one year, we exported more oil than we imported. That would be correct. Then you could add demand was reduced because of Covid., thus creating a supply response, with drilling being reduced by over 75% to its lowest point in recent history. Then when there was a post Covid demand surge, it takes a while for supply to respond, which is now happening, with drilling more than doubling.

But no, you chose to just go with a misleading Trump catch phrase. And you wonder why I call you a Trumper.

And if it doesn’t impact gas prices, what’s your point?
