"...GatorMaven's Zach Goodall 247's Thomas Goldkamp evaluates each position on Florida's roster based on its 2019 performance, what the Gators have done in recruiting at the position so far, and what the early expectations are for each unit. Those expectations can change as the offseason goes on, but this is where the roster currently stands."

Just for you Jeffie, how bout a 3rd opinion? :D

The instaGator's TE Eval for 2020:
TE Kyle Pitts 6-6 239 Jr - Philadelphia, PA - He should move to WR.
He led the team in receptions in 2019, 54 for 649 Yds, 5 TD's.
Then the battle for TE could primarily be between Zipperer and Odom.

TE Keon Zipperer 6-2 232 So - Lakeland, FL
32 Offers: UF--UA-AU-GA-UK-LSU-MsSt-MS-SCa-TN-aTm
Clem-FSU-Mia-Mich-Neb-tOSU-OK-Ore-PSU-Pitt-TX-VaT-Wix... etc.

TE Jon Odom 6-5 250 Fr - Tampa, FL (his Gator OL Dad played for the Bucs)
38 Offers: UF--UA-AU-LSU-Ark-SCa-VU--Duke-GaT-FSU-Mia-USF-UCF...
IO-Mich-MichSt-Neb-tOSU-Pitt-Pur-PSU-UL-Va-VaT-WVa-Wis... etc.
That's a whole lot of top quality offers for just a 3 star TE....(ranking vs offers)
The iG believes Odom will be the best Blocker/Receiver combo of the group.

The other 2 TE's (jmoho of course) Gamble & Lang to provide depth and ST's.
Either of them might surprise me moving forward, so good luck to them.
TE Kemore Gamble 6-4 216 rsJr - Miami, FL
TE Dante Lang 6-5 220 rsSo - Boca Raton, FL

Any way you put them on the field, those 5 TE's will be a Top 5 in the Nation group. The playing time competition is going to be exciting to watch as they develop.

TE Kyle Pitts 6-6 239 Jr - Philly, PA
TE/DE Dante Lang 6-5 220 rsSo - Boca Raton, FL

And right in the middle of them (Ht-Wt) is the FNG
TE Jon Odom 6-5 250 Fr - Tampa, FL
Ht & Wt,,,, blocking & receiving. Develops quick or he redshirts?

TE Kemore Gamble 6-4 216 rsJr - Miami, FL
TE Keon Zipperer 6-2 232 So - Lakeland, FL

The instaGator's TE Eval for 2020:

TE Dante Lang 6-5 220 rsSo - Boca Raton, FL

Insta,

Instead of keeping Dante Lang at TE, why not use spring ball to look at him at DE ?

TE room crowded, & Dante had good stats at DE in HS.

Gives him a chance to see the field rather than be a Transfer.

FWIW

According to Gator's official roster Dante Lang is 6 foot 5, 252 pounds; Greenard was listed at 6'3" 263 lbs.

Lang mostly played defensive end in high school, racking up 70 tackles and 20 sacks in his senior season.

Use spring ball for a look see at DE; if no go switch him back to TE.

OLB/DE (BUCK) is also pretty loaded, but I'd be fine with the move if he and the coaches want to go that way.

For our leghumper trolls or other rivals that claim/believe that UF is in trouble because 4 Sr WR's and and the starting Sr RB are gone... o_O
~~ Only OL loss is the rsSr center.
