Actually milk is up 110% locally. Gas is up 105%.

Alabama is the latest state to ban Russian liquor.

Critical thinkers, where is this heading? Remember with the dems, it's always about setting the PRECEDENT for FUTURE actions.

Ban Russian products now. Most people will have no issue with this cause we are told Russia is the bad guy here.

But now the precedent has been set. Any time any country in the world does anything disagreeable to the US, ban their products. Then they retaliate, and prices skyrocket.

And the poorest Americans are crippled.

The dots are starting to connect, and it's not a pretty picture.

We import about $50B of Russian oil a day (at $80/barrel)

We import about $2B in their vodka per year

So Hiden killed an oil supply line from Canada, so we could import it from halfway around the world in Russia?

Why did Hiden cut off oil supplies from one of our greatest allies, so he could get it from the world's most hated?

Where the hell is @CFAGator???

The estimated increase in flow through the bottleneck in Cushing, OK could have replaced what we import from Russia.

The other problem the Nordstream creates is it makes NATO allies in Europe more dependent on Russian oil.

It makes no sense to not at least fight it unless you’re just trying to make Putin richer and more powerful. And we know the racist dems in Congress used the racist (their words) filibuster to block Cruz’s sanctions against Russia to slow down the project.

I just signed a new 3 month electricity deal with Just Energy for 9.2 cents per kwh. Election Day found 5.2 cents per kwh in my zip code. Track Texas electricity rates at powertochoose.org.

Don't worry about gas. Dumb as rocks Biden just tapped the strategic petroleum reserve again. So we're good for 2 days.

If you’re going to Georgia to buy liquor then Alabama prices must be ridiculously high. I live just across the state line in Georgia from Florida and always head to Florida because the liquor costs here are excessive enough to make the short drive to get mine.

Oil is a global market. The Keystone expansion would have replaced only a tiny percent of what Russia produced daily. To replace Russia, domestic production would need to increase by over 70 percent.

Personally, I’m not opposed to more domestic production—especially now that Cold War 2 has begun. I just think it’s unrealistic to believe that domestic production would have increased by even a fraction of what would have been necessary if Trump was still in office.

The increased throughput was greater than what we import from Russia. So it theoretically could replace Russia without affecting our gas prices.

It was slated to start at 700,000 bpd, with stepped increases up to 830,000bpd. Total keystone pipeline output would have been 1.3Mbpd. We buy about 675,000bpd from Russia currently, or about 8% of our oil.

Or, it could be in addition to Russian imports. Weren’t we net exporters of oil in Trump’s last year?

Either way, it would have afforded the sitting administration freedom in deciding how to sanction Russia. We’re all proud of a $2B/yr Vodka sanction/boycott and ignoring that we made a $50B/yr one very painful. It’s not very strategic.

Even if we could replace what we import from Russia, that’s still only a small fraction of what Russia was exporting globally.

I guess they see the word vodka and beleive its Russian. Grey Goose is French.

So you are basically saying Brandon signing off on Nordstrom II was a stupid move? Because Europe gets a very large amount of its oil from their worst enemy...and Trump NEVER would have let that happen.

Fair, but it still doesn't make strategic sense to prevent our ability to replace that oil, green light Putin's pipeline to NATO allies, and get all excited about sanctions that are 1/25th of what they could be.

Basically, my point is Biden is an idiot. His policies don't make sense.

This kind of statement makes me really wonder about people. So since it does not make such a difference...its cool to support a Country that invaded another to gain real estate, and help financially support this invasion, while limiting your own Country to produce oil? How can you possibly rationalize that? And with Nordstrom, we had all those other Countries on board NOT to support it. I guess this is lib logic? Does Russian oil not hurt the environment? What are we paying Russia...80-100 BILLION A DAY for oil? You are good with this?

Oops!!! My mistake. Electricity rate is 9.5 cents. Allstate just announced my auto insurance rate beginning April 16 for six months. Jump from just over $600 to just over $1000 for the same vehicles. Brandon's inflationary tidal wave is sited.

Don’t put words in my mouth.

Just commenting on your post. you must have just forgot to post this? Are you in favor of cutting off Russian oil totally? Let me try the direct approach! ( I am)
Texas Oil & Gas says they can replace Russian supply if Brandon would lift restrictions. Montana governor says Brandon restrictions have crippled his state's O & G industry. WBAP radio in Cow Town tells me.

To be fair you're dismissing the impact of $50BB worth of sanctions. Regardless what percentage of their exports are headed to the US, when they're funneling money into a war loss of revenue hurts.

And you don't shrug it off and just keep sending money to a country who's actions are threatening global stability.

Again, my point is none of these policies make any logical sense. If you didn't know better you'd say Biden was catering to Putin in hopes he doesn't piss him off. Putin smells weakness and that's why were here...and he's right.

I believe 99% of the actions of the dems is about gaining, consolidating and protecting their power. Any move they make is toward one or more of those ends.

What happens to us is irrelevant. If they can throw us a bone or two in an effort to match one of the larger goals, then they will. But dems will never do anything for Americans, unless there's also a direct benefit to them from doing so.

The irony is, so many dems view government as their parents, but parents love unconditionally. Dems not only dont love Americans, they despise them and look down their noses at us.

So what's the angle here?

I don't understand the strategy.

Gas up .12 cents a gallon overnight Tuesday into Wednesday morning.
Wednesday morning @ 5:10 am - diesel at $3.91 per gallon - Wednesday afternoon @4:15 pm diesel @ 4.19 per gallon …… thanks for releasing those 60 million barrels of oil you promised Brandon.

America as founded is wrong. We must apologize. We must defer. We must understand the other guys grievances and cater to their demands. Global warming is our fault. We must fix it while giving others a pass. We are the problem and only when we have taken the back seat can we heal the world.

This is the left.

As for Biden, since everyone in the west is corrupt why not get his share.

There is NO real strategy except to eventually devolve into socialism.

All of those Racist White men in China and India are causing global warming, so let's all go get um.... 😫

Update:
as of yesterday afternoon @4;15 pm (that's Thursday, 3/3/2022 for all of you in Rio Linda) diesel had jumped again to $4.45 a gallon.

Now if my math is correct here, that constitutes an increase of .54 cents per gallon in what, a 35 +/- hour timeframe ??

Thank you Robin the Boy Wonder for releasing those 60,000,000 barrels of oil you promised.

I would look at it this way: Is there an opportunity for any of the politicians involved to increase or hold power?

And in this scenario, remember that MONEY is power too.

For instance, Country A might do something that drives the cost of importing a product from Country B up by 50%. In exchange, Country B gives a 'donation' of a $100M to the president of Country A for his re-election campaign.

In theory.

Same thing happened the last time he tapped the SR, an immediate price hike.

@CFAGator told me Hiden had nothing to do with the oil supply in this country or price of gas. Not sure I believe him.

FWIW: US gasoline prices are posted in dollars. The US dollar is metric since 1792. $3.989.
The 3 represents dollars. The second and third characters represents cents. The fourth character represents mils. There are 1000 mils in the dollar.

54 cents is 54 cents. .54 cents is 54/100 of a penny.

Gov-ed, our costly, failing and miserable public education system no longer teaches the structure and history of the US dollar. The US was the first English speaking and second country with a metric currency. We'll be the last country on earth to learn to measure.

The British Pound Sterling began it's shift to metric in 1969 and was the world's last major currency to change.

Hope this helps.

Didn't ATT or was it Ma Bell that got in trouble in the past because they auto rounded up to the nearest cent, basically over the years stealing millions from their customers??
I once bought XM Radio stock at $6.644. I believe SBC was trading at $25 5/8 at the time. It was circa 2000 when US markets were transitioning based on the Spanish dollar to the US dollar. US markets were traded based on the Spanish dollar for 230 years, thus, traded in fractions. I remember toward the end, SBC trading something like $25 25/32.
