Gainesville native and Gator student wins 200 world championship...

Noah Lyles broke the American record in winning. Never ran track for the Gators, but was a student and born in Gainesville.

Gator athlete and NCAA champion Joseph Fahnbulleh came in 4th just a tad behind the 2nd place finisher. He keeps improving and once he gets his starts down will be a threat to win.

He turned pro out of high school, but was his dream to attend UF. He and his brother both attended UF. Don't think he graduated.

Great showing by Joseph. He keeps improving. Challenge is the 200 field is deep. The 18 year old teenager from Tampa, Knighton, already has the 5th fastest time ever so you have to think he will keep getting faster too. Knighton went pro right out of high school, otherwise he most likely would have worn the orange and blue too.
