Florida @ FSU

I don't know how anyone can take another year of watching Napier call plays or just this staff in general.. This was simply not good enough, in any capacity.

Our guys kind of played down to the level of their competition tonight. The front 7 was really good, but the offense sputtered and was inconsistent the whole game. FSU is just pitiful. We beat the spread and to me the game was never in doubt. And considering FSU's 2-9 record coming in and the way we've beaten 2 ranked opponents in a row, a letdown could be expected. It's always great to beat FSU in anything and it feels good. I do think Billy Napier's #1 weakness is play calling. It's really bad. But we're 7-5 and going bowling, which is something I thought we had no chance of doing. So, GOOOO Gators and keep flipping those recruits!!!

This was a feel-good game. It's been a long time since I was angry at us dominating a team less than I thought we would dominate them. Miss those days.

He coaches like he expects to have by far the better squad and can just do what he likes and win every game. Those days are gone. For everybody. With squads seeing better talent balance, smart, creative coaching is going to be in very high demand shortly.

Just ask Kirby Smart what it's like to have a good squad rather than every possible elite player bought by your team. Four-loss Kirby debuts next year. Yes, this is a bit of a tangent, but I'm really looking forward to it!

That's the point, he's Kirby smart without the talent.. which means you can't win anything with him

Great win. If you had offered me 7-5 at the beginning of the season, I’d have taken it no question. And Lagway being so good, defense playing so well and recruiting going gangbusters are all surprises to the upside.

Hopefully we get a decent bowl, not sure what the options are but Florida would be nice for recruiting purposes, and have a strong offseason.

No disagreement. But, if he would just allow a thought to creep into his head that a creative play-calling OC would be a huge upgrade, he could survive here. Possibly thrive. BUT HE HAS TO GET OUT OF HIS OWN WAY.

They are probably going to crack down big time on the flag stuff etc but I still say players that wouldn't do something about that on their own home field are way too passive or soft. If they want to police it they have to make the penalty strong on the visiting team doing it in the future. With that or stealing turf etc.
