Just a nice little reminder of how Florida is continuing to show it is a giant in both the academic and athletic fields. We have already discussed the academic side on here, here is the other side of the coin. A 130 million dollar project that will upgrade the softball stadium, build a new baseball stadium for the defending National Champions, and add a new standalone football complex.

Here is the link to the story, not just a "source" in my own mind.

Going to be awesome. Tim Walton was on the Steve Russell radio show Thursday praising everyone involved. He loves UF. Softball upgrades will begin as soon as this season is over and will be completed before next season starts. Double the seating, covered areas to keep more people in the shade, interview room, bigger office for the coaches, film room, training room upgrades. He said it will allow him more interaction with the players and more camaraderie among the team. It will bring the softball facility from middle of the pack to one of the best in the country.
I sat next to some people just passing through on spring break from Raleigh, North Carolina at last night's baseball game and they couldn't believe we were building a new baseball facility. They said ours was gorgeous compared to what they have at NC State, North Carolina and Wake Forest. But the new baseball facility will, also, be one of the elite facilities in the country when done. And a lot of it has to do with player facilities in regards to lockers, training, film room, relaxation, etc. Same with the new football facilities. Not a lot that the public will see but will help big time in recruiting.
