F$U Game Thread

Panic was not unreasonable. How many times have you seen a team dominate the first half in every way except the scoreboard and wind up losing?
The half time adjustments with Mullen and his staff this year have been impressive. Reminds me of Bobby Bowden...guy could go into half time and they always came out and where a different team...winning every play. That's great coaching.

My #2 favorite Gators 41-14 Opp game.... ;) (2006)

The Gators last 3 consecutive games were all for 500+ Total Yards.
The last time that happened, Dan was the Gator's 2008 OC. :)

First half, 3 red-zone possessions resulted in just 6 pts, (2 FG's)
Franks is still Franks, but imoho, he just had his best game as a Gator vs FSU.
Sorry, but being pretty good vs a 5-7 team is still not much of a resume.

Cam Akers is a great RB and a likely 1-2 round NFL draft pick.
However, UF ran for 282 Yds at 5.4 ypc with 2 TD's.
As I have said for about forever, I'd rather have a solid committee than one great RB.
Three Star Perine - 13 for 129 yds, 9.9 ypc, 1 TD, plus a 6 yd reception.
Jordan Scarlett - 20 for 90 yds, 4.4 ypc, 1 TD
Combined 33 for 219 yds, 6.6 ypc, 2 TD's

Under BillyG, the receivers have improved greatly in all phases.
T.Grimes - 5 for 118 yds, including a 22 yd TD.
V.Jefferson - 4 for 92 yds, including a 39 yd TD
J.Hammond - 2 for 12 yds, including a 3 yd TD.
K.Toney *** - 2 for 21 yds.

Rivals 3 Star DE J.Polite had 6 Tkls, 3.5 TFL, 2.5 sacks, and a forced fumble.
V.Joseph *** had 8 Tkls with 1 TFL.
D.Reese II *** had 6 Tkls
SS Jeawon Taylor *** had 5 Tkls
FS D.Stiner *** - 1 Int.
CB T.Dean III Fr **** - 1 Int, returned 44 yds.

Next Up, a Top 6 Bowl Game... o_O

The Gator running backs were impressive. You can tell they understood the blocking scheme and just kept getting 5 yards until they broke the long one

Yep, and the Gator D was pretty good too...

~ DE Jachai Polite *** was named the Walter Camp National Player of the Week.
VS FSU, he had 6 TKL's (4 solo), including 3.5 TFL, 2.5 Sacks with a FF and 1 QBH.
He has 11 Sacks with 5 FF's on the season. So much for that rivals 3 star rating...

DE CeCe Jefferson recovered fumble.
FS Stiner Int.
CB Dean III Int.
While the LB'ers and the SS were tackling machines... o_O
